I think it is just the istory of Wolverine so it will be before they died. Hence the name, The Origin of Wolverine.

yea the history of wolverine, it by the way wiki explained it, it looks to be pretty good, and jean and cyclops died, prof. X just transferd his brain or something to that guy on the hospital bed at the end with tthat doc. so he really aint dead but his original body is, and gambits my fav. x-men character, was disapointed that he wasnt in X 3 but loving that hes in this 1, and with the adding of all the other mutants that werent in the previous films

Gambit does have his power, i saw a quick clip were he throws his signature ace of spades card and then it blows up and switch to wolverine. Gambit is by far my fav xmen character, he is just so bad ass if Taylor messes up this role ill kill him
