Maldonado made his UFC debut against James McSweeney at UFC 120 and scored a third-round knockout victory. The Nogueira trained fighter has now won 11-straight fights dating back to 2007. During the stretch, he has taken wins overs K-1 veteran Vitor Miranda, M-1 veteran Jessie Gibbs and UFC fighter Maiquel Falcao.
After losing twice on the eighth season of “The Ultimate Fighter†and dropping his UFC debut against Tom Lawlor, it appeared as if Kingsbury’s stay in the Octagon would be short. However, the former Arizona State football player has now won three-straight fights. In his last fight, Kingsbury dominated former Ring of Combat champion Ricardo Romero scoring a TKO only 21 seconds into the bout.
The card, which takes place on June 4 at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, will feature the finals of the reality show competition. Headlining the card is a lightweight fight featuring former WEC champion Anthony Pettis taking on Clay Guida.
