Some familiar faces could be returning to WWE in the coming months as there has been a push from several top talents for the organization to bring back some "solid hand" wrestlers that were previously released.

With the lack of depth on the main roster, PWInsider reports that WWE officials are giving serious consideration to the suggestion. Individuals they have in mind would be of the mid-card variety to assist younger talent, as well as provide solid performances for the company.

There is a short list of potential names WWE is interested in, but no one has been contacted yet.

Anyone have any thoughts?

Personally, MVP was the first to come to mind.

I wouldn't mind seeing Shelton back either, he can put on some matches.

A few other names that I have thought about are Carlito, Matt Hardy, and possibly Jeff when his contract with TNA ends. Anything is really possible if WWE is looking to bulk up the mid-card and spark interest.

Shelton and Haas are still under contract with ROH aren't they? Fuck a Hardy. But Carlito would be cool. I guess we will see at Rumble.

I believe WGTT is still under contract, and I haven't read anything stating they were coming up for renewal or anything. I'm not crazy about the Hardy name either, but there's no denying that Jeff sells and Matt seems to always tag along.

The Hardys could both help revive a lackluster tag team division in my eyes.

Didn't Jeff just resign with TNA?

Is Hardy staying with TNA?

- At this time, TNA is still not certain that they can keep Jeff Hardy when his contract expired in March. The feeling is that he can achieve greater fame and fortune in WWE, but his body is in rough shape and he's virtually guaranteed a permanent main event spot in TNA. The other thing in TNA's favor is that he can work a lighter schedule there.

I think Carlito is a most likely choice. What about John Morrison

Never even thought about Morrison, no clue why I didn't, but that's a great choice as well, he was always solid in the ring.

Carlito, MVP & Morrison would all be good choices. I don't think they've burnt their bridges yet either.

WWE wouldn't touch Matt Hardy with a barge pole nowadays, too much shit surrounding him and unlike his brother he doesn't sell enough merch to be worth the hassle.

I honestly don't want to see Shelton back in WWE. I don't see him bringing anything new to the table.

Bringing Finlay back up to the main roster wouldn't be a bad call either.
