Evan Bourne suffered an ankle injury at last night's ECW taping, and right now it is believed that he suffered torn ligaments in the ankle. There is no report on if this is something he will be able to work through or if he will have to take time off to recover from it.

Can't say I'm surprised. He was noticeably limping after hitting a dive on Bam Neely.

Damn hopefully his injury isn't gonna take him out for a long-time, he's getting some momentum as a wrestler and he's easily over with the ECW fans.
M.Hardy vs Bourne could turn out to an intriguing fued
We'll just wait and see what happens.

Shit, WWE don't seem to have much luck when they try pushing guys. I mean look and Kennedy and Bourne both injured before they could reach ME status on their respective brands and when Jeff Hardy was ready to win MITB (and later the world title most probably) he goes and gets himself suspended.

It's still a shame though because as LilClemente mentioned, he had some momentum going for him and if he is out for a few months it will be hard to maintain that momentum and he may have to spend some time in the midcard to make a name for himself again and it could also damage ECW as a brand because Matt Hardy will probably end up feuding with Mark Henry again now...

He will probably work through it, cause it doesn't sound too bad. Sucks for him though, cause he was kinda getting a push ( I think)

that really sucks hard. the WWE was already making him look great after Cyber Sunday, and he would've been champ in a couple of months if he didn't get injured. That dive on Bam did look really painful, mostly because Bam Neely didn't catch him right.

See what happens when these guys take too many risks?

^^Now that you brought up that point, I wonder if Vince will still allow him to do the high risk moves now because Bourne had to persuade him at first to be allowed to do them and he showed Vince that he can do them safely but now that an injury has been caused (even though from what I hear it was Bam's fault) that may cause Vince to rethink his decision...

Shame he is really entertaining and ill miss him. Hope he rests up tho and doesn't work through it as it may lead to a worse injury with more time off. He was getting some good airtime and good push. But he will still be over if he takes time out. Time out would be the sensible option but sometimes they don't take that route and carry on through the pain. Hope he gets fit and well soon.
