Edge vs. CM Punk?

It looks like WWE are teasing a match between Edge and CM Punk, but it all seems to be buildup for Chavo to win the ECW title and join Edge's faction. Now I'm completely ok with that, Chavo is awesome and it's about time he gets an upper midcard spot, but my question is, will any of this lead to an Edge vs. CM Punk match, on PPV? Not only do I think these guys could easily tear down the house together, but I think these guys would have so much chemistry that WWE may pursue this feud for a later, more important time (*cough*Wrestlemania 25*cough*).

What do you guys think? Am I being completely biased since 2 out of my 3 favorites might be feuding together or can anyone else see this?

I definitely saw this and was thinking to myself that Punk might win the Rumble and go onto challenge Edge but it's too early yet for Punk to main event WM even though he easily could. But the thought of this feud is amazing and I hope WWE goes through with it one day both men are great on the mic and in the ring and can put on a hell of a match.

ya i cant really see that happening unfortunately... edge will face a bigger name at werestlemania... cm punk isnt there yet

At first I thought Taker would be facing Edge, and I still do, but I have my doubts with WWE booking Taker to win the Rumble again, and the EC on NWO is being advertised as being for Raw.

Now, with all the teasing(it continues on SD), I can see CM Punk actually winning the RR and feuding Edge. Punk vs Edge would be a good match, and we all know that Raw will get the main event and last match, so I wouldn't mind to see it

Edge'll face Taker at WM24. Punk will probz drop the title to chavo at WM24 or before and they will face eachother at WM24 but WM25 yes i think Punk will be ready by then.

Win the Rumble? As most of us have forgotten thanks to ECW on SciFi being dominated by Benjamin, BDV and The Sexies, CM Punk is STILL the ECW Champ...

I know he is ECW Champion that doesn't mean he can't win the rumble and go look to win a more prestigous title. Maybe he is going to lose to Chavo and then win the rumble I don't know about the WWE anymore.

You know, with Shelton Benjamin getting pushed in ECW. It wouldn't surprise me to see Punk drop the ECW title to Shelton (With some help from Edge) before WM.

I'll admit, I'm a fan of both Edge and Punk and I would love to see this feud.. I want this feud to happen now, but with Wrestlemania around the corner I just can't see it happening. All I know is that is THE feud that can help elevate Punk and I hope that WWE doesn't manage to screw it up.

That's absurd! Punk has all the tools he needs to have a successful match at Wrestlemania. It would be a very refreshing main event and I would buy it for that match alone. 2 great athletes and performers. There's no reason this shouldn't happen.

I know it should happen but in WWE Standards its too early for Punk to be main eventing WM As I said at the end of the quote he could easily main event but I don't think the WWE will but if I had to make a guess for next year definitely CM Punk would be in the main event.

Umm I'm pretty sure Punk isn't in the rumble and won't be because he is a world champion albeit an ECW champion. I think that a Punk-Edge feud/match would be amazing, those two could put on a show.

I look for Shelton to win the ECW champion at WM 24. I can't nor do I see Chavo winning the ECW title. It looks like he's going to be part of Edge's faction. I don't think it'd make much sense to give him the ECW championship only to be part of Edge's faction which is on SD! I know that ECW and Smackdown crosses over, but I can't see them going in that direction. I think Shelton will win at 'Mania in what will be a very good match, the way they've been pushing him lately it seems like it's all building to becoming the ECW champ and WM would be the perfect oppurtunity for him to do that.

I agree. I could see some Edge + Chavo vs Punk + Rey matches, but i dont think those two will headline any ppv's before or at WM.
