Edge & Umaga...More than meets the eye?

Any one think there's a chance that Edge will eventually be revealed to be 'in league' with Umaga?

The attacks have n Punk have been suspiciously serving of Edge's own agenda.

Not saying it WILL happen and wouldn't be particularly into the timing of it given Edge has only just shed the last of the La Familia angle , but I love the idea of Edge working the stick for Umaga, then holding mid and ME gold respectively and eventually having the classic fall-out fued (DiBiase v Virgil, HBKv Diesel etc.) which could eventually give Umaga the push many feel he needs (There's a fair few guys that queing up for a push on SD and lets face it, not all of them can take a winning streak route to the MEvent).



Your thoughts? ...Ideas? ...Speculation?

I was thinking this the other day. Edge could use him as his own personal monster. Think about it... It'd all make sense. I mean, it allows Punk to feud with Umaga, and also gives a reason for it, plus, it'll add to a future feud between Edge and Punk. I could actually see this happening. I really have no clue if WWE will do that or not, and the one reason I think they might not, is because they may want to use Umaga as a singles guy, to add to the main event scene. If they have him with Edge full time, he won't be able to be in the title picture at all, cause he'll be working with Edge, and not against him. Too early to tell yet, but I think you could be on to something. Just depends on if WWE wants to use Umaga to add to the main event scene, or if they're fine with limiting him to this feud.

Its pretty obvious what's going on. While he was injured, Umaga came across the Joe-Punk trilogy. After watching that, Umaga came to the conclusion that Punk hates fat samoan wrestlers, so Umaga has decided to protect the honor of Samoa by taking out Punk.

i have no idea why they're making this another jeff hardy attacker angle. they pretty much told us umaga's doing it for edge the time it happened. the call to vickie...anyone?

as for how it works, seems to be working just fine. there's no other way to keep edge in the ME scene besides turning him face or a tweener.

Edge/Umaga as a "unit" could make sense and who besides me has no idea why Umaga and Punk are feuding? It seems like he just came out of fucking nowhere? He just attacked Punk out of the blue. But I think it could build up Punk/Edge at GAB or ONS very nicely. Edge will retain at JD and drop the belt to Punk and start a mini feud between Umaga/Edge with Umaga costing him the WHC.

La Familia I actually liked. But as for this, I can see what you mean. Personally, I wouldn't mind it. As long as Edge doesn't have to actually like him. If Edge is just sorta taking advantage of Umaga, then they don't even need to be similar, for it to work. Part of me agrees with you though. I want a solo, by himself, dangerous Edge again as well. But, if they do have to team him, or align him, with anyone, I actually do like the choice of Umaga.

I'd actually like to see Edge drop the title to Jeff... and then have him team up with Punk when Punk cashes it in on Jeff (I think it would bring heat to Punk). Push Punk to heel... aside from Christian, a Heel Punk would probably be the best fit to align Edge with. They'd really be rude, crude, and tattooed!



But if that's not a route (which it highly likely isn't), I'd rather see Edge be independent and as far separated from a union as he possibly can be.

Edge should be on his own now. Vickie is on raw and he needs to run a singles career alone. Especially if they plan to turn him face in which i think they will around summerslam vs Jericho i dunno why its just a feeling. Umaga is best alone also he is a Samoan bulldozer and should be used for back up once or twice but teaming with someone is a no no.

Food for thought re: edge/Umaga alliance... In an effort to avoid facing him in a title match, Edge could deploy Umaga to take care of Taker when he returns; thus kicking off another of the fueds we 'all' want to see... Sound appealing anyone? ;o]
