Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder has announced the postponement of his spring solo tour due to temporary nerve damage in his right arm resulting from a recent back injury. The 22 shows, spread out over 15 cities, have been pushed back to the late fall and will now begin at the Pearl in Las Vegas on October 31st. One show, a planned appearance at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, has been cancelled entirely.
"After having worked aggressively with doctors and physical therapists for the last eight weeks to repair the damage, the intensity of the injury and time needed to heal has made it impossible to play the shows as scheduled," Pearl Jam manager Kelly Curtis explained in a statement. "There was hope up until the last minute that the treatments would be successful."
Vedder's revised tour itinerary is below, with the original tour date followed by the new date at the venue. Tickets for the original dates will be honored at these gigs and refunds will be made by request.
