After going through things on the internet, i started to think about the ECW World Title.

Now that Johnny Nitro has won the title, do you think when/if he wins the WWE or World Heavyweigh Title that it will mean less for people like Nitro & Punk (If He wins it). Because they would've allready reached "World Title Status" in the past.

I think the sensible thingn for WWE would to do is to remove the World from the title so that when ECW champions like Nitro & Lashley finnaly win the big one, it will be more important. & before long we'll have The Miz, Viscera or The Boogeyman as "World Champions" which is ridiculous. So IMO they should rename the title to just ECW Heavyweight Title so that we don't get those problems.

I say this because ATM there using the belt to push people instead of getting people to push the belt.

Not really because viscera, miz and boobgeyman will never be world heavyweight or ecw champions. Simple as that really, nitro and punk will become wwe champs in the future but knowing wwe they will just say former world champion. It also makes them sound better.

yeah, see at Snitsky, he got push but always kept away from the ECW World Title, the same thing will happen to Viscera if he gets pushed. And Nitro got the title as a long thing coming, as it has been previously reported that WWE believed on his talent but haven't pushed him because of his relationship with Melina, now that he changed brand it was just obvious

They'll only give the title to people who they think has a future as a maineventer in the future, like Punk, Nitro, Burke and Cor Von. Miz, Vis and Boogey have no chance of possibly getting a main event shot and thats why they'll never get the title

ECW was brought back as a higher up development i think, they have all the people with a future on there, plus Nitro is a brilliant champion so far he has a fantastic future!

^^Basically. It gives all the young stars the spotlight without being on the main show. Nitro, Punk, Burke, Thorn are all gonna be main eventers on raw or SD! at one point but if you threw them straight in without a push (not including Nitro and Elijah 'cause they had tag teams) they would be mid carders and wouldn't get pushed to the main event for a while but on ECW there is more space for the younger talent to get a main event spot and then be proven main eventers before moving to SD! or Raw.

Yes... i agree with that because there's an easier chance to reach the top.

What i'm worried about is that when Punk finnaly wins the WWE Title or World heavyweight title it won't mean as much as it should because he's allready been a "World Champion" that's why they should keep the title as it is but just quietly remove the "World" from it so that when they win the wwe or world heavyweight for the first time, it'll mean much more because they've never won 1 before.

Because ATM Nitro & Punk are going to become World Champions before Kennedy & MVP! Which isn't right.

^^ Going to? Nitro already is and anyway although the ECW title is a world title, it would be a lot more prestigious to be WWE or WHC than ECW champion. MVP and Kennedy will be world or WWE champs before Punk and Nitro but they can get onto a main show and have proven they can make an impact there so they don't need to go to ECW. WWE title/WHC> ECW title and that's a fact.

I see where you're coming from Fatal and that is a potential concern, but I think that everyone knows the ECW World Title is just a midcard title, which isn't taken that seriously. Lashley was given that belt as a prop, to enhance his push and to build him up for a move to Raw. Then Nitro (who had been jobbing for the previous months), enters the picture and wins it. It is just a midcard title to most people.

There is an argument to say that Nitro/Punk will be/are orld Champions before Kennedy/MVP, but all of them are recieving pushes, just in different ways. MVP is a recognised midcard Champion with potential, wheras Nitro is holding a midcard title which is branded a 'World Title.'

You say tomato, I say tomarto.
