Early Creative Plans For WrestleMania XXX (Sting and Goldberg)
With WrestleMania XXX only five months away, WWE officials are working on the card for the pay-per-view event. However, much of the card will hinge on whether agreements with inactive individuals can be made, such as former World Heavyweight Champions Goldberg and Sting. Here is the proposed card for the event.
* A match pitting Triple H against “Stone Cold” Steve Austin for control of WWE, with Austin representing Vince McMahon, is not expected to occur.

* WWE officials want to secure Sting, whose contract with TNA Wrestling is set to expire, for the event and have him face The Undertaker. The fallback plan is Undertaker facing Brock Lesnar as originally scheduled.

* WWE officials are very interested in securing Goldberg for the show and having him face Ryback. If a deal falls through, Ryback will instead face Big Show. However, if WWE is able to secure Goldberg, Ryback will then face Big Show at Elimination Chamber.

* CM Punk facing Randy Orton is currently planned for the event. Punk had been planned to win the 30-Man Royal Rumble to receive the accompanying World Title shot, but current talk has the winner facing the holder of the World Heavyweight Championship.

* While Shawn Michaels has denied the possibility of wrestling again, there are people within WWE who wholeheartedly believe that he will face Daniel Bryan on the show.

* Goldust is scheduled to turn on Cody Rhodes, leading to the match both have requested for years. Company officials are pleased with Goldust’s work since returning to the promotion a few weeks ago: he’s exceeded all expectations.

Meanwhile, the ongoing Triple H vs. Big Show feud will not culminate at the event. A match between both individuals is scheduled to occur between December and February at Elimination Chamber.

I highly doubt WWE will acquire Sting, they seem to try to every year around the road to WrestleMania but he never budges.

As for Goldberg/Ryback,color me bored. Them two facing off in a ring would probably be just as bad as Goldberg/Lesnar at WMXX. I wouldn't even want to see Ryback take on Big Show,I'd be happier if Ryback wasn't on the card at all.

On to Punk/Orton,the match seems very probable and if the build up is good then them facing off again at WMXXX wouldn't bother me.

The Rhodes/Goldust match also seems highly probable and personally I'd love to see it happen. Goldust putting over his younger brother in a good, competitive match would be great.

This leaves Cena with an open opponent. Hopefully he's done feuding with Del Rio way before then(if they're still feuding by time WMXXX rolls around kill me). With that being said,I'd love to see Cena put over an up and comer at the event such as Cesaro or Barrett.

Bryan Vs Michaels would be brilliant if Shawn was in shape for it, It would be 4 years since his last match so they would need to prepare him for it and if Shawn can do it, we could be a MOTYC out of it.

Punk Vs Orton. As long as Punk does most of the talking and walks out with the title thats fine, I'm not the biggest Punk fan but Punk >>>>>>>>> Orton.

Goldy Vs Rhodes :yay:

Ryback Vs Goldberg

At this rate is there any way that Ryback vs Goldberg actually happens? They seem dead set on burying Ryback right now anyway. Nothing they do can rebuild that guy, so what's the point in seeing him vs Goldberg...

Oh, right, it's still WWE. Sticking Goldberg on the Wrestlemania card = buys, and he'll go over in a quick squash. Kinda sad saying the retired old guy should go over the young guy, but you wouldn't dream of putting Ryback over right now.

That sounds like a bad-ass WrestleMania. Motherfucking Sting will get the treatment TNA could never provide. It's been rough seeing them do video packages for him with no WCW footage.

I hope Metallica plays Sting out to Seek and Destroy.

No more of that Joker facepaint bullshit.

I would like to see Ryback and Goldberg tbh for fan reaction alone. This match might end the shitty Goldberg chants Ryback gets. Plus they legit hate each other. Crowd reaction will be gold.

Yeah, this is WWE giving the douchebag Goldberg-chanting "smart" fans what they apparently want. The chant started ironically almost, because the smarts always shit on Goldberg and they wanted to do the same to ruin Ryback. Instead they've put Ryback and Goldberg both into a MAJOR payday at WrestleMania.

Good work, virgins.
