Got a mail-out from a venue in town today....

Wed 11/11/09
18:30 The O2 Arena, London
WWE - DX Invasion

Now we usually get a post-Survivor Series tour here in the UK, but seeing as this would take place weeks beforehand I'm wondering what exactly the event name is all about... Bit too specifc to just be a quirky name for a tour.

Can't remember who it was, but someone said on here the other day they expected an extended DX run this year... Is DX gonna go to war with Legacy? (Make's sense for a SSeries-related angle at least).

Anyone got any other info/ideas?

Any other peeps in the UK had similar word from their local venues?

If this is true, I doubt Hunter's hopes of turning heel are ever going to come to fruition.

Is there a possibility of having a new young face group against Legacy than having DX again???

Well, yes - This is all very speculative to start with apart from the fact that it's a fair assumpion that DX are gonna be doing something by the end of the year. I also think it's fair to say that a DX run would be WWEs way of stalling the heel turn that HHH needs but they aren't in a position to give him right now.

I'm thinking it could be a case of no-one being able to overthrow Legacy's stranglehold on the WWE all year (Not Cena, Not Batista, Not HHH), until one night on Raw........ Music hits... "Are You ready.... Is This On?..... BREAK IT DOWN!!!"

Also, just a thought, but a DX split could be the perfect catalyst for setting Shawn v HHH up for HBKs last match @ WM26 (should that be his intention).

It's already been done though. Michaels/HHH via HHH turning on him through DX.

Yes, I know... Well, kinda..

Strictly speaking DX didn't really re-form back in 2002.

Ultimately, as many have said, HBK will get whatever opponent he wants for his last match and it'd be one hell of a shock if it WASN'T HHH.

The time he turned on him in 2002, it wasn't really with DX. He just gave him a DX shirt, to get him to come to the ring, and then turned on him.
But, I could honestly see this happening. We'd get the best of both worlds. You get a DX reunition, which, despite whoever will critise, is always exciting, and with it being for Survivor Series, I could see it happening with a Team DX vs Team Legacy match. Then, afterwards, you could have Triple h turn on Michaels, setting up a match at Mania for HBK's last match. That also seems like it could happen, because I'm sure Shawn would want his last match to be against his buddy.

This intrigues me greatly! I like the idea of this happening around the beginning of the Summer and carrying to the Survivor Series/Royal Rumble. I want to see HHH turn heel but I don't think we need that for this match to succeed if it were to happen. I could actually see Batista joining Legacy and having it be Orton, Batista, Dibiase and Rhodes against HHH AND HBK at first and then with a twist of the odd having Vince and Shane helo them at Survivor Series.

Well it could solve Raw's main event problem. If you take HHH and HBK out of the title picture it would even the playing field in terms of face/heel ratio. Maybe that might give a chance for good one on one matches with Cena, Batista, and Orton. That's all Raw needs are those three guys and I would be happy. Who would DX face? Legacy? In a 2 on 2? That makes no sense. Rhodes and Dibiase would be boring and any combination of one or the other with Orton would just be awkard.

I'm down with that.... ::cough::

But seriously...if they do another DX reunion they need to do it right this time. I think they were a little too heavy on the cheezed out comedy last time. Sure, the comedy is always an element of DX but I really think they could incorporate the heel DX'ish ways in with it this time. It would work much better in a feud with Legacy than the whole comedy bit.
Some other question this brings to mind... if they do indeed do a DX reunion...

-Where would they place the WWE title during all this? (which is kind of further making me lean towards the possibility of Punk cashing in on HHH)

-Where would this put Batista who has now worked his way into this....an alliance with Orton?

It would work perfectly to set up HHH/HBK for next Mania if they do so choose to have it go on that long. It would also give reason to have the title picture away from HHH for a while, opening up the possiblity of a heel turn.

Well i was at Cardiff on Mon and they announced The undertaker Rest in peace tour and not retirement that some ppl have said. And the DX reunion tour they are both happening in November. So maybe the will go down the route of dx reuniting as some have said To take HHH/HBK out of the title picture for awhile. Which in turn could lead to the Heel turn Trips so desperately needs HBK is one of the biggest face's on Raw along with Cena so if the do this right to get Trips some heat Turn on a big fan favourite who better than HBK to try to get him some heat. That could set up HBK/HHH at mania if indeed that is what Shawn wants and is in fact retiring. And also HHH/Cena because yes we have had it a few times already but that still has potential for a good Feud and get Trips some heat of cena fans. Im buzzing they are reuniting i just need tickets now. Oh and they go on sale from sat.

If Shawn wasn't so reserved thanks to his Religion nowadays, a re-formed HEEL DX would have me watching every single week.

But since they're on the same show again, they'll reunite 'for the last time ever' every second show.

On the contrary, they need to be as face-like as possible to counterbalance what we are supposed to beleive is a trio of evil bad-asses....

Agreed about the humour specifically though.

Some other question this brings to mind... if they do indeed do a DX reunion...

All speculation on my part, but ....

If Orton wins at BLash and drops the belt in October that's a 6 month run.... I could well imagine Cena with the title by that point.

-Where would this put Batista who has now worked his way into this....an alliance with Orton?

Providing he turns heel in the fallout of HHH losing the belt to Orton, a fued with HHH. He could then be fueding with Cena by the time summer/autumn comes around.

It would work perfectly to set up HHH/HBK for next Mania if they do so choose to have it go on that long. It would also give reason to have the title picture away from HHH for a while, opening up the possiblity of a heel turn.

I think it's a damn good option IF HBK is retiring..... Catch 22; freshen up WWE by keeping HHH away from the title for WM whilst losing HBK or be prepared for similar frustration with HHH for another 6 - 12 months and, perrish the thought, but he could even end up being the guy to retire Taker is he's the one hanging up his boots at WM26(*)?????

(*Gotta beleive that loss to Taker at WM17 is a real sore point for The Game.)
