Dustin Ortiz vs. Justin Scoggins added to TUF 19 Finale in Las Vegas
This summer’s Ultimate Fighter 19 Finale now has a flyweight bout added to the bill.
Dustin Ortiz (13-3 MMA, 2-1 UFC) is set to meet Justin Scoggins (9-0 MMA, 2-0 UFC) on the card in Sin City. UFC officials announced the new booking on Monday night.
The TUF 19 Finale takes place July 6 at Las Vegas’ Mandalay Bay Events Center. The night’s main card, featuring Frankie Edgar vs. B.J. Penn, airs on FOX Sports 1 following prelims that stream on UFC Fight Pass.
Ortiz got back in the win column just a couple weeks back when he took a split decision from Ray Borg at UFC on FOX 11 in Orlando. That reversed a split call that went against him against John Moraga at UFC Fight Night 35 in January. Ortiz made his UFC debut in November and stretched a winning streak to four fights with a third-round TKO of Jose Maria Tome in Brazil.
Scoggins, an American Top Team product, stayed unbeaten in March when he took a unanimous decision from Will Campuzano at UFC 171. He made his UFC debut in December and stopped Richie Vaculik with punches in the first round at UFC Fight Night 33 in Australia.
With the addition to the card, The Ultimate Fighter 19 Finale now includes:
