That's all I wanted to really discuss here was, How many of you are Qualified Drivers, Learning To Drive or not old enough to learn yet... Have you got any experiences you would like to contribute! & If so what type of vehicle are you currently or have driven in the past.

Me personally, I’ve started to learn ever since my 17th birthday in Mid June. I passed my theory test the second time around, two weeks before the newer harder test came in to use! My test is now Two weeks away on the 5th of October & I can't wait! The car I will be driving is a Diesel Escort, which I’m proud of... Even though it's around 20 years old! Lol

I'm itching to start driving as the only way I usually travel ATM to & from the nearby busiest town is by bus. The timetables suck though as I can only catch 1 every 2 & a Half hours & the latest one back is 6’o clock at night! Which has pretty much limited my social life no ends.

You'll get bored with driving in about a year. Especially when you get traffic tickets.....my insurance just dropped to where the monthly payment was lower than $200.

Well, that may be the case...

But if it helps me keep in touch with my social life & stops me missing an hour of college a day just because i need to catch a bus, i can only see it as a good thing!

But you'r right, Insurance & other such things are a pain in the arse!

Cars in Singapore are expensive. It costs about S$90000 for a Ford Focus, which is probably around $40000.

I'm going to go book lessons soon, but even getting a license here cost a few thousand dollars.

^^ It's about S$2000 if you pass the first time, which is about $1000 there. And you still have to book about 2-3 months in advance for a spot, which sucks. The government here is trying to discourage the use of cars, so they impose alot of rules. Even when I get my license I don't think I can afford a car.
