This is the first actual "Deathmatch" Parker has been since joining BJW, I think as I am a bit behind on them as well, but BJW also has two non-deathmatch division called Strong BJ and Strong J so he can compete in those as well. Also, this is a "freak accident" you could say because Ito has done the same spot and never got cut that awful.

Yeah, The Ikkitousen Death Match Survivor Tournament is a two week event, think G1 or BOTSJ, held every two years to determine the best wrestler in the BJW's Deathmatch division, and Drew is the first foreigner to win the tournament as well.
