Okay, so last night on RAW we saw the draft officially go into effect (asides for MVP appearing once again on Smackdown this week..wtf). It's pretty clear that this year, unlike last they want to affirm that these picks are going to make a difference and show they're ready to make an impact. So how do you think these guys faired?

MVP: Was no pun intended the MVP of the night. What better way to push this guy than IMMEDIATELY have him call out the WWE Champion. He did a fucking amazing job on the mic and really showed some insane potential for where he could be just a short time from now. MVP on RAW.....awesome choice.

THE Brian Kendrick: Came out with a great little asshole promo on Lilian and for a second it really seemed like they might have him win his match....until Kofi's music hit. I still really think that if he can survive this year over on RAW that next year he may have some luck back over on Smackdown or ECW. Hopefully this thing with Kofi wasn't a one off deal because I really think they could have some incredible matches together.

The Colons: We learned last night via announce team that they're not exclusive to RAW and are mobile between brands to defend their titles. And an insane springboard move by Carlito...lol.
BTW...Jamie Noble and Chavo...wtf is that shit..the jobbers from hell?

The Miz: It's obvious that right away they're trying to showcase his mic skills. I really think following his calling out of Cena someone else should have come out to meet the challenge. I really don't think Miz will have too much trouble on RAW if he keeps up his decent promo skills. I almost wanna see him succeed. On a funny note.... the pop he got when he talked about the same old shit in the main event was hilarious.

So that's RAW....now let's see what happens with Smackdown.

MVP interrupting Orton was suprising to me to be honest. I didn't think that he would get that sort of mini-push, as much as I am a fan of MVP's I doubt this will turn into a legit PPV feud, maybe a few matches on Raw and ambushes by Legacy but nothing more. Orton/'Tista is more likely but I would like to see him challenge Orton after Tista and not win but really not come out "the loser" and with Trips, HHH and Cena out of the title picture for the time being Raw is lacking in the main event face's to challenge RKO. I prefer the heel MVP of 2007 but face MVP is good also. Time will tell if the 'E' does what they should or take this potential MVP/Orton feud to its full potential or drop it in the shitter.

The Miz' promo was great imo. He grew on me during The time of Mizorrison. He can cut a good promo and that will get some at least SOME airtime, calling out Cena= great. Talking about the main event scene on Raw was gold it got a good pop suprisingly and has potential for many other feuds. I was fully expecting like a Midget Cena or something like that to show up and having The Miz squash him. I think that The Miz has a future on Raw, not in the main event, no not even close at least for 3-5 years but as a legit Mid-Card heel, I couldn't ever see him as US Champion though.

Yup, all the guys did good last night. Kendrick got to show his ring skills, which was good, and he did well. Too bad they made him lose though. MVP had the biggest impact, by far, and like I've said in numerous threads, he blew me away. Miz was the biggest surprise of the night.
As for the Colons thing, I don't really mind. It has to be that way, I guess. You can't have only one set of tag belts, and leave them on one show, not allowing the other teams to compete. In order for WWE to have teams like Cryme Tyme and Hawkins and Ryder competing, they pretty much have to do this. Must've been a last minute decision though, or else they wouldn't have been drafted to Raw to begin with.

I think MVP will be a main event player by this time next year, I think within the next 18 months he will have won a world title on some brand.

There was a severe lack of star power on last night's show. I guess thats what we get for having the entire WWE roster on all 3 brands every week for the past 3 months lol.

I'll get used to it though, I'm glad the brand split is "in effect" now, hopefully it says this way

Regardless of how it was voiced last night, it's pretty obvious it's the belts themselves that will be tri-branded; not The Colons.

Well yeah, the belts will be tri-branded...but that obviously makes whoever holds them mobile as well.

On a side note to that....time for one belt...I hate that they're carrying around four fucking belts. I'm sure since they don't give a fuck about the tag titles they'll simply drop one set of them.

I'm actually hoping that what The Miz did last night will go somewhere. This guys been impressing the hell out of me. Now, on his 1st night as a RAW wrestler, he calls out Cena. I'm just hoping this wont be the start of his jobber run though.

BTW, those lines he said about Cena and his movies B-E-A..utiful.

I agree I hope this turns into a legit feud his lines about the movies were hilarious. His "You Cant See Me Bit" was kinda funny. He has been really winning me over in the ring and on the mic.

I hope all draft picks will make their brand worth watching. I'm just waiting for Zack ryder and ziek on ecw now :).
