Why must I deal with Michael Cole talkin' shit about Zeb Colter? His points against him and his laughter.... UGH my GOD. I don't understand this garbage. He complains about JBL but when it comes to Zeb, JBL makes sense. Michael Cole just laughs likes a moron makin' points that are just JOKE-ABLE. It's easy to insult Zeb's character and make him seem in the wrong but these attempts by Cole just make him seem bitter. I don't understand this mess of an announcer's table.

Cole isn't doing anything Gorilla Monsoon and Vince McMahon didn't do when they were behind the desk. Double standards happen everywhere, JBL calls him out on it and it is forgotten within minutes.

Forced laughter is something I totally hate though, hated it when Joey Styles did it, when Vince did it and when Schiavone did it. Atleast when Gorilla and JR laughed at something it was genuine.

Cole isn't a shitty announcer, he is far from it. He has to plug a million things, and tell a million stories, the days of the play by play are over. Also if he didn't have the albotross that is Jerry Lawler, maybe the commentary would be better. Smackdown! commentary > Raw commentary.

That would depend on whether or not WWE gives the announce team free mics or not. If not, that would mean it's the writer that's shitty, not Cole. If they DO have free mics, well...

I'm just pissed that he had one of the best gimmicks in years with his anti-smark shit, yet WWE made him go bland sportscaster type again.

I do wish Cole wouldn't engage JBL so much when he says something heel, they get in "arguments" way too much and are very loud about it.

JBL is fine when he makes these witty, passing comments that justify a heel's behavior (and great when he's enthusiastically talking someone up and trying to get them over) even when the comments are nonsensical and flimsy, because that's what a heel character should sound like. Cole generally annoys me, but I understand that a lot of his annoying phrases and constant plugs are things he's likely told to say, and he does do the things a lead, babyface commentator should do.

It's just really, REALLY awful when they get into arguments, usually because Cole pushes for it. I haven't cared to notice the double standards, it's how they sound that annoys me more than what they actually say. Cole his this habit of laughing hysterically at anything JBL says when explaining his opinion, so JBL and, say, Zeb will both be buried even when Cole has no point. It's just distracting above other things, because Cole wants to be louder more than he wants to be correct. I can hear their stupid yelling even I'm not paying attention to them, or looking away from the TV completely.

Agree with Cork on this one. Besides its not people are not over JR, its just that they want someone better than Cole to replace him.

What was Cole supposed to do after being the guy giving us updates on Lawler? Go back to the shit talker? Kind of hard to no sell his breaking of kayfabe, like when Lawler toned down his heel commentary after Over The Edge 99.

And who is better at modern sports entertainment commentary than Cole? Noone. JR couldn't even do it, which was the reason he was put on colour.
