I was extremely underwhelemed at this, not going to lie

Match was real fun, however. I like them coming out in groups as it kept the pace high.

My main gripes was the he didn't get to showcase his stuff enough.

Historically, the joker reveals are always midcard guys (last year was Matt Sydal/Ethan Bourne) , so we often set our sights too high.

I would refer to @CHRISTOPHER though. He's done big things in MLW (was a champ i think?) and having great matches in NJPW. So I'm actually quite interested to see how he will mesh.

So, this was actually a deal where, you know, New Japan allowed him, and he, well, he is allowed to work dates. You know, it's funny, you know, in between New Japan, in the sense that he would be in Japan a lot, except he can't go, but I didn't know that. So, New Japan obviously has allowed him to do the show. Yeah he had a great MLW run. I was surprised when he dropped the belt on their season finale but it makes sense now. He's been fire on NJPW Strong as well, was in the J Cup last year. Now that he's actually with NJPW, I hope he's on it even more.

I'm indifferent on him in AEW myself as much as I've talked him up though just bc I doubt he'd get any real push bc they don't have the room necessarily. But I think he'd be great in the Matt Sydal spot if that's cool with him to not be a real focus point. Just another dude to put on great matches when you need him to. Signing with NJPW and just appearing with AEW might be his best career move to avoid getting lost in the shuffle. As long as he's on NJPW Strong he's a fairly large fish on that roster where he def wouldn't be in AEW
