For non-Americans, DOMA (Defense of Marriage Act) was a United States federal law signed by Bill Clinton in 1996 that allowed states to refuse to recognize same-sex marriages as straight marriages. Basically, it would ultimately stop gays/lesbians/etc. from having the same privileges married couples have, for example, not allowing to file taxes as a couple and requiring individual tax returns, prevents them from ever using the law protecting married couples from testifying against the other and the list goes on. The Supreme Court just ruled this act as unconstitutional about a few days ago.
I just went on Youtube and saw their homepage and it literally brought a tear to my eye.

They've posted multiple videos about supporting homosexuals, such as videos of guys coming out to their families and other things like that and it's just very heartwarming. I'm extremely thankful for this act being abolished. It almost makes me proud to be an American... almost. :haha:
