Dixie Carter Is a Wierd Woman

In an interview with Digital Spy, TNA President Dixie Carter revealed that she would be interested in a WWE vs TNA Crossover event featuring talent from both companies. Dixie said:

I don't think [the WWE] shares my belief in this, but I believe that competition is 100% positively essential,I think it's important for fans and for us. To have one company dominate, a) it's boring, and b) you are not being challenged enough. It's always better to have other options out there and I truly believe it makes both companies better. absolutely would do that. I'm not sure if they would do that (a crossover event), but I absolutely would."

Well DUH! the WWE won't do the crossover event. I mean lol.

I'd love to see this. This is something you see a lot in Japan. Noah and All Japan tend to send some of their top guys over to New Japan for their biggest show of the year and vice versa. And New Japan are now helping Noah get back to their feet again. Sadly this is something I don't think we will see in America. At least not as long as Vince is in charge.

This sort of thing didn't work too well back in 1997 when WWE and ECW tried it, and that was just a few under card matches on Raw, not a PPV.

Does she really believe WWE are ever gonna agree to letting their Superstars lose to any of the TNA guys? Even on the under card? And the second she doesn't agree to letting one or any of her guys lose to them, the idea is dead in the water. Not that it has a chance of happening anyway.

This would have been a huge deal if WCW had done it back in the day (I remember some wrestling magazine actually booking an entire card one time that was pretty interesting) but TNA isn't a big enough company for it to be that big of a deal.
