So after the absolutely devastating knockout that Vitor Belfort pulled over Luke Rockhold tonight, I ask you WP... is Vitor Belfort ready for a title shot?
I personally believe so, the fact that the only people in the middleweight rankings that are in front of them are Chris Weidman (who's next in line for a title shot) and of course Anderson Silva. But the question has to be taken into effect, at 36 years old.. is Vitor still able to gain the title and have a lengthy run? I think so, after his last win he's proven that he ages like fine wine and is still able to compete with up and coming fighters. Plus take into account that he's won 4 out of his last 6 fights with his only losses coming to Anderson Silva and Jon Jones.. also the fact that 3 of those fights earned him knockout of the night honors and his only other win on top of that was against somebody who outweighed him by nearly 15 pounds. From my standpoint, I believe that he is definitely next in line to face the Anderson Silva/Chris Weidman winner.
What about you, my friends. What do you think will happen in the future?
