fightline.com said:Diego Sanchez will enter the Octagon for the 19th time this August, as he returns to action at UFC 164. No opponent, however, has been named for "The Dream."
Sanchez (24-5) appeared on MMAjunkie.com Radio Tuesday and discussed his next fight, saying, "We're looking at opponents." He added that he gave UFC matchmaker Joe Silva complete trust in pairing him with somebody.
"I did like I always do and said, 'Look, you're the man Joe. You're the one who makes all these big matchups. There are plenty of good fights out there,'" Sanchez said.
Sanchez last competed in March, besting Takanori Gomi in Japan to improve to 13-5 with the UFC. He pointed to the likes of Josh Thomson, Gilbert Melendez, Nate Diaz and Joe Lauzon has possible opponents.
As much as I like watching Diego fight, you're really only good as your last fight which I thought was very disappointing. I think he matches up well with Joe Lauzon because that would be an absolute war! I just hope he turns heads in his next fight because if it was anything like his last fight, I'd be pretty bored.
