Diego Sanchez Confirms Move To Lightweight, Wants Pettis Or Diaz

As far as foes piquing Sanchez’s interest, the original Ultimate Fighter winner made it clear he simply wants to be matched up against equally exciting competitors who bring it in the cage. Two names who fit that bill as far as he’s concerned are Anthony Pettis and Nate Diaz.

“I told Dana I really liked that fight,†said Sanchez of facing Pettis. “I want to fight a guy who’s a fan favorite and who has a lot of fans and is a big draw. It’d make us both better, the sport better. Plus, the guy has a win over the champ, so that’d bump me up right to the top.â€


“It’d be a Fight of the Night,†Sanchez continued, turning talk to Diaz. “You’re going to get the ground game, standup. You’re going to get it all. You’re going to get a real fight with a Diaz.â€

Either one of those fights would be absolute wars. I think I'd rather see Sanchez-Diaz more though.

He was talking on Helwani's show about his team has reached out to Daniel Bryan about a collaboration of some sorts, because they both do that "yes" gimmick.

IDK what he means by that, if he wants Danielson to walk out with him WWE will prol veto it like they did with Punk/Chael.

But yeah, war Diego and all. Never in a bad fight, even when losing. Wish he'd stop that mean mugging at the start of his fights though, its really cheesy and fake.
