DEVELOPING STORY: Injury update on Rhea Ripley​

Last night on NXT, Rhea Ripley was heinously attacked in the parking lot by Women's World Champion Liv Morgan and her enforcer Raquel Rodriguez.

Following the brutal attack, it has been revealed that The Nightmare has suffered a fractured right orbital socket, which will put Ripley out of action for an undisclosed amount of time.

I know it's kayfabe but still interesting they're writing her off for what I imagine will be a short amount of time. I'm still over this feud though even if this angle was well done.

Well this could be kayfabe but it wouldn't be the first time they used an NXT parking lot attack to cover for a legit injury.

I don't think that's the case this time either and I certainly hope it's not but man if this is just so Liv can do some more stuff and they don't know what to do with Rhea before she eventually beats Liv or something way later, not booking I particularly enjoy myself. I'll wait tho bc we might find out a very good reason why Rhea needed a few weeks off

Yeah i'm just assuming it's kayfabe because it's been a few weeks since she actually wrestled.

I wouldn't be surprised though if what you said about them not having a clue what to do with Rhea is true because i've felt the same for a while. Just feels like her whole identity is tied to Dom/Liv/TJD and without them she doesn't have anything.

With all that being said, I wouldn't even be surprised if she magically showed up in Saudi this weekend and got involved with the MITB briefcase either at Crown Jewel or the Raw taping.

You're off a tad, it's been bad ever since she has that concussion issue which I wanna say also had some face damage to recover but that was like a year and a half ago I thought? If not longer and since then it's been weird, she seems healthy but will still go long periods without actual matches even when she was champion so I never knew if that was just booking or they were protecting her. And I still don't really know

Pending what this is, I'll say all her injuries did seem like freak things when they happened so I certainly wouldn't label her as "injury prone" I feel that really needs to be reserved for repeat injuries that the worker just can't help bc something is weak or they're sloppy and keep hurting themselves
