Urijah Faber was asked after a five-round decision loss to Renan Barao Saturday night in the main event of UFC 149: Faber vs. Barao if a move to flyweight has been considered. Faber, a former WEC featherweight champion, said that is not happening."No way. I put on 18 pounds (Friday night after weigh-ins), and I would probably not be here if I was trying to get to 125," said Faber, during the post-fight press conference. "No, 135 is where I'll be."

Faber was unable to figure out Barao, as the Brazilian claimed the interim UFC bantamweight championship. That leaves Barao to be the next man to face Dominick Cruz, who was forced to pull out of a planned fight with Faber after a knee injury.

"The California Kid" is now 26-6 overall, but 0-5 in his last five championship matches. He was defeated by Cruz - via decision - when the two met last year

It's crazy how many title shots he's had. Surprised he doesn't drop weight classes honestly, he'd be one of the more talented fighters at 125.

What about the division above, I wonder if that's realistic?

He used to fight at that division, a few years ago in WEC that is. And he won their championship and defended it five times before losing to Jose Aldo.

I say he changes weight classes though regardless of whether it be up or down.

Faber would probably be better off dropping down in weight. If he were to move up he'd be good but Aldo is just that much better. In the division he is in now... as talented as he is he can't beat Cruz and and he just lost to Barao. He's starting to lose stock.

He's stuck in limbo either way, he either stays where he's at and keeps getting failed shots at Barao (he will destroy Cruz) or keep getting failed shots at Aldo.

If he came in on fight night @ 153lbs it's doubtful he could make flyweight not drained.

Here's the Xray of Faber's broken rib, caused by a knee in the first round.

Fuck Faber got more title shots than Kenflo ffs.

Overrated little shit should just get used to the fact that he is nothing more than an attaction now. His time was when no one was looking, but it's not so bad, Tito still had a nice run after he became an attraction.

I don't like Faber, he just seems to get everything handed to him yet still complains even though he gets title shot after title shot when he doesn't really deserve it. I hope that he actually has to win a couple of fights in a row in UFC before he gets yet another title shot.
