– Kent News in Great Britain features an article on Desmond Wolfe noting that during his absence from the squared ring, he’s kept himself busy developing a television sitcom.

He said, “The sitcom was based on an idea a friend had. It’s about a kid from Brixton in south London who gets forced to take a job doing meals on wheels in Brixham, Devon. I’m ready to pitch it if there’s any interest. I’m also acting in a community theatre play called Everybody Loves Opal, which was first performed on Broadway in the 1960s.â€

Regarding his health and as it relates to his status with TNA, he said fans shouldn’t believe everything they read online.

“I can’t get into the details of my absence here and now, but there have been a few different plans to bring me back in the last few months, none of which materialized. I’m hoping for something soon though,†Wolfe said.

That doesn't sound very funny, I would hope that there would be more to it than that.

The whole injury absence situation is strange but hopefully he is healthy.

Thats what I said at another forum, sitcom sounds terrible, but atleast he is saying he is healthy. Hopefully that is true.

As for the meels on wheel show, whats funny about old people on fixed incomes? He going to eat the food infront of them?

Each week he can meet some hilarious new characters who can tell him stories about the war. That would rate highly wouldn't it?

To be fair a lot of ideas for shows be it sitcom or drama sound bad on paper, like when people heard that Cheers was a show mustly set in a bar, I bet people thought "How can much exciting happen there" or Six Feet Under being based around a family running a Funeral Home "I bet that is going to be grim" and both of those worked quite. In any event I am not saying it sounds good or bad, just that we can't judge it at this stage.

Back to wrestling, I think his TNA days have been numbered for awhile now, and I think he needs to get out of that place as soon as possible.

Fair enough, it is hard to judge something when we only know two sentences about it. Depends on the writing and the actors involved to make it a great show.

If TNA are still paying him then he should stay since I can't see him making much money elsewhere in wrestling if he can't actually wrestle.
