Back when the tag team division actually mattered to the WWE, Demolition were one of the best, and most popular, tag teams. Crush later joined the team. I didn't really like it when Crush joined....Crush later joined because Ax was ill and Vince wanted Crush to be there in case Ax was out for a while.
I've mentioned this before but, for those who don't know, Smash later ended up being repackaged as Repo Man. Pretty hilarious how one can go from being such a badass to such a bitch.
These guys were metal as fuck \m/
They also hold the record for the longest time as tag team champs (almost 500 days). They held the tag titles 3 times.
Most people in this forum were probably introduced to Demolition via WWE '12. LOVED that they put these guys in it, well deserved, and great to see a real tag team added.
It was really a shame when they changed their theme because 'Demolition' by Rick Derringer (he also sang Real American, Hulk Hogan's theme) is one of the best themes ever, though their new theme was alright. Kinda creepy.
But back to the original Demolition theme (well, the original was instrumental, this is when they made it better and added vocals):
HERE COMES THE AX
AND HERE COMES THE SMASHER
THE DEMOLITION
WALKING DISASTER
Fucking awesome.
On to some matches...again, sorry for the quality, it can be hard to find HD quality old wrestling videos.
12 minute 'story of' video:
For shits and giggles, let's take a look at how Smash turned out after Demolition broke up.
