Yet another top WWE talent is dealing with an injury, PWInsider.com has learned.

The injury bug has bit former WWE champion Alberto Del Rio, who is dealing with an issue with his lower back, sources tell PWInsider.com.

Del Rio wrestled at the 2016 Royal Rumble, losing the U.S. championship to Kalisto in a singles bout before performing in the Rumble match. During the Rumble, ADR was involved in the League of Nations' beat-down of Roman Reigns before officially entering the match at #26.

Del Rio did not wrestle on this week's Raw taping, instead appearing in the corner of Sheamus and Rusev during the main event. He did not appear on Smackdown and PWInsider.com is told he was not backstage at the Smackdown taping this past Tuesday. It should be interesting to see whether he works this weekend's live events. He is one of the top talents advertised for the Chattanooga, TN and Tupelo, MS dates.

Del Rio, 38, returned to WWE in October 2015 as a surprise to win the WWE United States championship from John Cena at the Hell in A Cell PPV.

I'm afraid I've got some bad news. Barrett's been dealing with a neck injury, hence why his absence from in-ring performance.

The plague continues! Hopefully all ends well for ADR, Barrett and Sheamus, too!

Alberto Del Rio is reportedly dealing with a lower back issue, according to PWInsider.

Del Rio did not wrestle on RAW but did appear in the corner of Rusev and Sheamus for the main event. He was not backstage for Tuesday's WWE SmackDown tapings. As of this writing, he's scheduled for the weekend WWE live events but we're not sure yet if he will be wrestling. We'll keep you updated.

I think it's more of a stress on high impact moves. In my opinion, those moves are really there to please the hardcore fans, that don't really appreciate the long drawn out style WWE, used before. But that's just my take on the situation. You can definitely see a shift from slow-built matches to matches with more sequences, spots and false finishes, commonly seen on the indies. It could be just that WWE is trying to evolve to a generation that usually doesn't have the patience to sit through 30 minutes of rest holds and submissions, among other things.

Another thing is the addition of televised live events and SmackDown on USA, along with NXT's growing popularity. Whatever it is, it's really hurting the roster. It's best that slow down a little bit. Every member of the LoN is or has been injured since their debut. The upper-midcard and main event has been flushed out due to the injuries.

Yeah but I see del rio and cena as more "mat-based" wrestlers and they're both injured as well as Sheamus again. Idk. It's seems to be a mix of stars, not just just aerial ones.

Well, with the adaption of styles with the WWE, so have Cena and Del Rio. I mean having Cena doing monkey flips, hurricanranas, springboards and top rope moves? It's weird.

Del Rio has moved from the cross arm breaker and has started to use more top rope moves, and even a top rope/corner finish.

Maybe it would be a good idea to add a injury bingo to this site. I got some $ to burn, and might as well put this clusterfuck to good use.

If Vince had a nickel for every injury he could be a billionaire again. This sucks.
