A great show live that should be fun on DVD.
Pre-show:
Mitch Franklin & Pelle Primeau d. Up In Smoke
-Short but fun. Up in smoke got some good offense and the Philly crowd was way into them and we all voiced our displeasure when they lost.
Shane Hagadorn d. Eddie Kingston, Alex Payne, & Rhett Titus
- Very good as far as pre show matches are concerned. Kingston looked great and should definatley be brought back. Philadelphia hates Alex payne. Payne got beat up then all of a sudden hulked up. We were all glad he didn't win. After the match Albright killed everyone and then got into a fight with kingston. Kingston ended up getting dropped on his head.
Main Show:
El Generico d. Mark Briscoe
-Good match, a bit shorter than I would ahve liked but it got the job done. Steen interferes afterwards Briscoes and Steenerico brawl.
Jack Evans d. Deranged
-Botchy. Very very botchy. Deranged botched a slide out of the ring. Then Evans botched a move (forgot which one, just know he messed it up) then Evans totally brocked the 630. He completely missed the mark. Evans pinned Deranged after knocking him out with a 630 that landed inches past Deranged. totally overshot. Not a good night to be an Evans fan. deranged got the don't come back chants. The people who chant that are jerks. also of note, fat hairy tatooed guy throws 2 project 161 Tee shirts into the crowd, before being "removed".
Chris Hero & Jigsaw d. Nigel & Claudio Castagnoli
-Very very fun match. Comedy abounds early on with Baked potato chants directed at Bobby Dempsey (where's Derrick?) Hero plays the cowardly heel for the most part. big swing by Claudio on jigsaw where Jigsaw's pants started flying off. I swear we almost saw Jigsaw's piece. Hero hits Claudio with his trophy. Afterwards Sweet & sour inc. gang up on Claudio. Nigel made the save.
Sara del Ray d. Lacey
-Good as far as woman's matches go. Lots of screaming and I swear Sara is a dude. afterwards daizee and everyone exchange words.
Bryan Danielson d. Mike Quackenbush
-Very good match. Both men looked great. for the most part crowd seemed split on who to favor. Danielson maybe got a slight edge on fan support. Quack passes out
Kevin Steen d. Jay Briscoe
-Excellent hard hitting match. El Generico interferes and hits the hardest kick I have ever seen to Jay's face. First 3 or 4 rows had spit on them. Afterwards Mark runs out and he appears to have a bum leg.
Takeshi Morishima d. Brent Albright
-This match sold me on Albright. Great hard hitting action and my personal MOTN. At one point everyone though Albright had won. Fans rallied behind Albright but he got pinned after a Backdrop driver. standing ovation for Brent after the match. This rematch needs to happen.
No Remorse Corps. & Matt Sydal d. The Resilience & Delirious
-Best wild and crazy brawl since the six man at 100th show. sick spot where Cross pushes Sydal off the top of the bleachers and then does some crazy flips and corkscrews off the top on him. they could have died. too much crazy crap to note so get the DVD for this one. i wish ROH had monitors setup. A lot of people missed a lot of action ue to it going all over the building. Erick Stevens also got his ass kicked but looked great going toe to toe with Strong.
Stronghold makes him pass out.
