As seen above, Bill Apter of 1wrestling.com recently spoke with Diamond Dallas Page to promote the new "Resurrection of Jake Roberts" documentary and more. Below are some highlights:

* Apter asked about Sting's injury and match at WWE Night of Champions and Page said he thinks it's great Sting got to come to WWE and he's happy he got the match with Seth Rollins. DDP talked about how everyone wanted to have the big run in WWE but Sting wouldn't go until it was PG and he's a real deal Christian. Regarding Rollins, DDP praised him saying he's stepping into the "Shawn Michaels realm." DDP isn't surprised Sting got injured because they leave a little piece of their body in the ring each time

* DDP mentions he would have to seriously consider returning if WWE offered him an angle with Randy Orton for the RKO vs. Diamond Cutter gimmick. He figured the last Cutter he would give in the Royal Rumble return would have been to Orton but he's glad it didn't happen because Orton is the Legend Killer and DDP still has that over him. DDP said he would have loved to feud with Orton 5 or 10 years ago

* Apter asks about Scott Hall and Jake "The Snake" Roberts. DDP says he always points out he was just their guide. He says Jake and Dusty Rhodes were his guides in the past but neither could do the work for him, he had to put the work in and defy the odds. He says the journey they went on started with just wanting to help Jake get his life on track so he could walk away from the business with his head held high, because of what Jake had done for him in the past. He noted that Jake has made 11 rehab visits and Scott has 12

* DDP says directors who have seen the Jake documentary and helped them make edits believe it's Oscar worthy and top directors have told him it could win an Oscar because it's so real and powerful. They talk about how Steve Austin won't endorse anything unless he really believes in it and he cried when he saw the movie. DDP says Austin was "blown away" after seeing the original cut. DDP says they are most excited that the film has qualified for the Oscars. He's not saying they definitely will be nominated but that was his goal going in.
