Luke Thomas - The UFC on Fox 9 event continues to expand as a new flyweight bout has been added to the fight card: jiu-jitsu black belt Darren Uyenoyama will face off opposite former flyweight title contender John Moraga in his return to action since losing his title shot bid against champion Demetrious Johnson in July. The new was made official on the UFC Tonight Twitter account on Sunday evening.

Uyenoyama, 33, is 2-1 in his UFC venture. He most recently competed in April at UFC on Fox 7 where he was stopped in the second round via strikes in his bout with Joseph Benavidez. He is 8-4 in professional mixed martial arts.

Moraga, 29, most recently lost via fifth-round submission against Johnson, but had compiled a 2-0 UFC record prior to his title fight. Inside the Octagon, he holds stoppage wins over Ulysses Gomez as well as Chris Cariaso. His MMA record stands currently at 13-2.

UFC on FOX 9 takes place at the Sleep Train Arena in Sacramento, California, on December 14th. As is customary, the event's main card will air on FOX.

The UFC on FOX 9 fight card is as follows:

Anthony Pettis vs. Josh Thomson
Urijah Faber vs. Michael McDonald
Carlos Condit vs. Matt Brown
Chad Mendes vs. Nik Lentz
Scott Jorgensen vs. Ian McCall
Joe Lauzon vs. Mac Danzig
Danny Castillo vs. Edson Barboza
Court McGee vs. Kevin Gastelum

Wow, the card is looking absolutely stacked! I'm really stoked for this, but I'm a little upset that Pettis isn't fighting Grant for the title. Ah well, I'm sure TJ will get it after his next fight.
