------------Monday-------------
The scene opens and Curtis Ange is sat at his desk sorting through contracts with a focussed, slightly worried expression on his face.
Curtis Ange: "Oh come on, it's got to be in here somewhere...damn it where is it?"
Suddenly he stops and a relieved smile appears on his face as he pulls out a piece of paper from the bundle.
CA: "Oh thank God. I've been looking for this for hours. Liam Reilly's contract...$50,000 for one match...worst mistake of my life."
Ange turns his chair to his paper shredder and puts the contrat through it. As he is feeding it into the machine, there is a knock on the door.
CA: "Come in!"
Justin Fire and Daniel Ice walk in, both dressed in t-shirts and jeans. Ange stands up to greet them.
CA: "Ah, gentlemen, please take a seat."
Ange motions to two armchairs positioned in front of his desk and sits back in his own chair as Fire and Ice take a seat.
Justin Fire: "You wanted to see us boss?"
Ange smiles and nods his head.
CA: "Yes, I did. About that interview you two decided to conduct with yourselves, now I know it was entertaining and the fans loved it, but it's left me having to deal with Rick Ranson, who's kinda pissed off about what happened. You can understand how this is not in my best interests I assume? Ranson is a pain at the best of times, as much as he works hard. When he's annoyed, he's even worse. Also, you didn't happen to put his hand in a bucket of warm water did you?"
Fire and Ice give each other a confused glance, before turning back to Ange and answering in unison.
Fire and Ice: "No boss, why?"
Ange looks slightly disappointed at this.
CA: "Oh, that's a shame, it would've been somewhat of a feather in your cap if you had. It seems someone put Rick's hand in a bucket of warm water and it made him piss his pants. I had to listen to him go on for about 45 minutes about how they cost $750 and couldn't be dry cleaned...but the thought of that idiot pissing himself makes me laugh, so it was worth it.
All three men grin at each other.
Fire: "Well unfortunately when we did that interview, we left our buckets of water in our other pants, so it wasn't us."
CA: "Well, whoever it was, I like their style. Anyway, to the business of wrestling. As the two of you know, at Champions Showcase, we'll be crowning our inaugural WKF World Tag Team Champions when you two face Bromance in a 2-out-of-3 falls match. But as a warm-up for that, Daniel you'll be taking on Eli Preston of Bromance in singles action, this Friday on WKF Carnage."
Daniel Ice smiles with satisfaction and nods his head to himself as he relaxes in his armchair. Justin Fire looks on at Ange with expectation as if waiting for him to say something.
CA: "Is there something you wanted to say, Justin?"
Fire: "Yeah...who am I facing on Friday? Daniel's facing Eli Preston, I guess that means I'm againist Trey Walker, right?"
A look of slight concern appears on Ange's face as he responds.
CA: "No Justin, you'll have the night off, as you'll be in Daniel's corner for his match."
Fire looks diappointed for a moment and then his look changes to one of determination.
Fire: "Well if I'm not wrestling myself, then I guess I can put all my energy into helping Daniel get into shape for this Friday."
Ange smiles at Fire and Ice.
CA: "That's the spirit. Now, unless either of you have any questions, I won't take up any more of your time."
Fire and Ice stand up.
Fire: "Come on Daniel, we've got some training to do. Eli Preston's ass isn't gonna kick itself!"
Daniel Ice: "It sure isn't!"
Fire and Ice leave the room and Ange returns to his contracts, filing them away and whistling to himself as the scene ends.
-------------------Friday----------------
The camera cuts in to see Rick Ranson standing backstage with Fire and Ice (both in their ring gear) and a widescreen television.
Rick Ranson: "Ladies and Gentlemen, joining me now are two men who will team up at Champions Showcase to face Bromance to become the first ever WKF World Tag Team Champions, and they are Justin Fire and Daniel Ice. Now gentlemen, you must be excited about your opportunity on August 5th to go down in history?"
Fire and Ice look at Ranson with a look of comedic exaggerated impatience.
Ice: "No Rick, the idea makes us want to vomit tapioca out of our ears...of course we're excited man. Think about it. Our names would be in all the wrestling history books. No-one could take it away from us. We'd be remembered forever. But we're realists Rick my man. We know we've gotta take this journey one week at a time. And boy oh boy, what a week me and my buddy here Justin have had, ain't that right Justin?"
Justin Fire rubs his hands together and smiles.
Fire: "We sure have Daniel, in fact, why don't we show Rick what we got up to."
Fire reaches for the remote control on top of the TV as Ranson looks worried.
RR: "Um, guys this is a family show, I don't think you're allowed to show that kind of footage at this time of day".
Fire and Ice give Ranson a disbelieving stare.
Fire: "You really are an idiot aren't you Rick...this isn't a sex tape. This is our training footage...is it any wonder we interviewed ourselves instead of waking you up two weeks ago?"
Ranson looks crestfallen and doesn't reply.
Fire: "Now here's what we got up to on Tuesday."
Fire pushes the play button on the remote and the TV starts playing footage of Fire and Ice's training session. Ice is dressed in a blue spandex leotard doing step aerobics, along with an attractive female instructor. Fire is shown to be attempting to do the same exercise along side him, dressed in normal sweatpants and a vest, but cannot contain his laughter at Ice's ridiculous outfit and falls over. At this point, Fire pauses the footage and turns to Ranson.
Fire: "You see on Tuesday, we worked on cardio and dexterity...and to an extent, fashion sense."
Fire chuckles to himself as Ice looks at him, with a mixture of amusement and annoyance.
Ice: "I still can't believe you stole my training gear and made me wear that damn thing."
Fire grins at his tag partner.
Fire: "Well, if you will leave your bag unattended in my hotel room...anyway, on with the tape. Now let's show you what we did on Wednesday."
Fire pushes the play button and the footage is now of Ice in the weight room doing bench presses. Fire is next to the bench, ready if Ice needs him to hold the weights for him. All of a sudden, Ice farts and both men burst out laughing. Ice drops the weights on the floor as he and Fire are rolling on the floor. Fire pauses the footage there and he turns to Ice, as both men ignore Rick Ranson.
Ice: "You see, Wednesday's child is a bodybuilder. Improved strength is all important...though I really should not have eaten that enchillada..."
Fire: "DEFINITELY not. That place stunk for hours after that."
As if suddenly remembering his existance, Fire turns to Rick Ranson.
Fire: "Oh, sorry Rick, I forgot you were still here. Anyway, care to see what we did in training yesterday?"
Rick looks rather down, realising he is completely unnecessary in this interview, but responds anyway.
RR: "Sure, why not."
Fire: "That's the spirit Ricky boy".
Fire pushes the play button one more time, and this time the scene is very different. Fire and Ice are seen in a murky gym, inside a ring with another, unknown man. Ice has the man in an excruciating looking submission hold on the mat. The light-heartedness of the previous two scenes is gone as Ice has a look of pure intensity on his face.
Fire(in the video): "Wrench him hard Daniel, just like you're going to do to Eli Preston tomorrow."
Ice (in the video): "How does this feel, punk? Do you feel like your arm is coming loose? TAP KID, TAP!!!!!"
The unknown man taps with a look of fear and pain on his face. Ice then picks him up off the mat. The man is groggy and in pain, as Ice ascends the turnbuckle effortlessly. He leaps off and hits the man with Cold As Ice. The man lies motionless in the ring as Fire and Ice leave. Fire stops the footage and turns back to Ranson. Now Fire and Ice have serious expressions on their faces and any sense of fun is gone.
Fire: "You see Ranson, this week has been about sending a message to everyone in WKF, no just Bromance. We like to have fun, we like to have a good time. But when it comes to wrestling, we are as serious as it gets. Eli, this Friday, you have got to take on the coolest cat in the company and he's not coming to take any prisoners. After he's done with you this Friday, you're going to know, deep down in your heart, that you and Trey cannot win on August 5th at Champions Showcase. You can claim all you want that you want it more than us, but the fact is that we will stop at nothing to make sure that we leave Champions Showcase as the first ever WKF World Tag Team Champions."
Ice: "Eli, you maybe a friend out of the ring, but in the ring, you stand in the way of me and my buddy Justin's destiny and I'm afraid, I can't be living with that. So, while you may have gotten the luck of the draw, and wound up facing the less experienced member of Fire and Ice, the end result will still be the same, just as it will be on August 5th and just as it will be next week if I have to face you again. And that is, you'll be feeling COLD AS ICE, you'll be suffering Frostbite...and you'll be going home empty handed...I'll see you when I see you."
Without another word, Fire and Ice walk off, leaving Rick Ranson alone looking highly confused. Unsure of what to do, he simply walks off in the other direction as the camera fades out.
