OBERHAUSEN, Germany – Brock Lesnar (5-2 MMA, 4-2 UFC) and Frank Mir (14-5 MMA, 12-5 UFC) may not be completing their trilogy just yet.

Just one day after suggesting Lesnar vs. Mir III is a fight that "kind of makes sense" in the heavyweight division, UFC president Dana White now admits feedback received on his Twitter account is leading him away from arranging the matchup.

"People have been saying on my Twitter that they're not happy with that fight," White told MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com). "It's something I need to rethink."

Following Lesnar's heavyweight title loss to Cain Velasquez in October, reports began to surface in a number of locations that Lesnar vs. Mir III was in the works.

At a Friday Q&A session with the UFC Fight Club, White said those reports were a bit premature as he had not spoken to Lesnar since the former champion's UFC 121 defeat. However, he did seem intrigued with the notion.

"That fight kind of makes sense," White said on Friday. "So, we'll see."

But since White made that statement, fans have taken to the Internet to express their displeasure in the potential fight. While the UFC president believes it's unwise to pay too much attention to Internet message boards, White says those that took the time to address him on his official Twitter account have made their feelings known loud and clear.

"I usually don't gauge things by the Internet; the internet is [expletive] stupid," White said. "My Twitter I do.

"On my Twitter, there are 1.2 million people that care about this thing and everything else, and you don't get the goofy [expletive] that you get on the Internet."

Lesnar's October loss snapped a four-fight win streak that instantly catapulted him to the pinnacle of the sport's heavyweight division. Before meeting Velasquez, he earned victories over Heath Herring, Randy Couture, Mir and Shane Carwin.

Lesnar and Mir have shared a sometimes intense rivalry since they first met at UFC 81. Mir won that bout by first-round submission, and the two sniped at each other in the press after Lesnar became heavyweight champion by defeating Couture at UFC 91.

The two then met at UFC 100, and Lesnar avenged the loss when he knocked out Mir in the second round. In subsequent interviews, Mir pined for a rubber match, though he went silent after he gave an interview in which he wished death on Lesnar. White publicly chastised Mir and said it wouldn't happen again.

Mir most recently defeated Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic in the main event of UFC 119 – a bout that largely was panned for its lack of action.

Before seeing Brock vs Mirr III I want to see Brock vs Roy Nelson. Brock has only had 7 MMA fights, 2 of them have been against Mir already. I would like to see him fight different guys than Mir 3 times in 8 fights. Give them both another fight or two then go with number 3.

No matter who Brock fights next I fear for them. He has something to prove after been destroyed by Velasquez.

Im with you on this one bro. After the fight with Cain, I knew it wasn't his BJJ he needed to work on, like I had said so much in the past, it was his standup. After watching both the Carwin and Velasquez bouts, Brock needs to get a better striking coach in there. Someone like a Mark Della Grotte. Brock still has the whole world in front of him. As for Nelson, I know he's on hold with the UFC because of contract talks. From what I've read at mmajunkie, Nelson is tied down with Roy Jones Jr's fight promotion. He had headlined a bout with the company at an event called March Badness in 2009 where he lost to Jeff Monson. Apparently RJJr is saying he's tied to him contractually.

I would love to see Brock vs. Roy. With Carwin getting injured, Nelson now having this petty contract squabble with someone else, it leaves the next few months wide open on who may be at who in the 265lb division.

I have no idea why people are complaining about this one besides the fact it may be too soon I never have a problem with a good trilogy in fact I love seeing trilogy's in UFC especially when the 3rd fight is a tie breaker between the two. I'd just wait and let them both fight a few opponents and build themselves back up before doing it.

Book it. Its 1-1. I do expect Lesnar to win but Mir is an accomplished and experienced fighter he could make Lesnar tap again. Lesnar is fucked if he loses this fight though and he knows it though both guys are kind of fucked more so Lesnar obviously being the recent former heavyweight champion and after getting destroyed by Cain like he did. If Mir wins this his ego will not be able to be stopped and hes going straight back to the top. Very interesting considering the intense rivalry and both men need the win.

Even if Brock loses one more fight, no way Dana lets him go. He'll have one more opportunity. Love him or hate him, regardless if he's champion, Brock is still the UFC's biggest draw. If Mir loses, it's still doesn't mean anything. Dana isn't about to cut either top 10 heavyweight if one loses. Each will have at least 1 more fight before that's considered. I think most fans want to see a fresh matchup for Brock. Lesnar needs to get his striking down. Im not saying Brock vs. Mir III won't happen because Dana and Joe Silva love trilogies, it just may not happen until late next year.

Your exactly right no way he would let go of Lesnar or Mir as both are big names when it comes to the Heavyweight Division. Mir may not have the consistency when it comes to his fights and winning them but he has won 6 out of his last 8 fights only losing to Lesnar and Carwin which are nothing to frown down upon. Take a look at a big name like Liddell who has lost like 5 out of his last 6 fights and yet contioused to still get fights. Either way weather or not it happens soon we will see Mir/Lesnar III in the future probably before 2012.
