Johny Hendricks vaulted himself up the UFC welterweight ranks when he knocked out Jon Fitch at UFC 141: Lesnar vs. Overeem. Fitch, a former No. 1 contender who has went the distance with the likes of Georges St-Pierre and BJ Penn, was rocked by a Hendricks strike and dropped just 12 seconds into their match.

Now, UFC president Dana White says he has nothing but important fights lined up for Hendricks down the road, as the outspoken leader of the UFC told fight fans on UFC Tonight recently.

"Hendricks did something GSP couldn't do. There's no way this was an early stoppage. Hendricks comes bursting out of nowhere and takes down the No. 2 guy," White said (thanks to MMAMania.com for transcribing). "He's got world-class wrestling and nasty hands - he's going to get another big fight."

While White did not reveal just who is in the future for Hendricks, the list is quite long, as the UFC's 170-pound division has plenty of eligible candidates

For people who haven't seen the KO, I'm including a video of it.

So now the obvious question is who... my first pick... the loser of the Diaz/Condit fight. I mean how much bigger of a fight could that be for Hendricks?

Well, As many are I'm assuming Diaz kicks the shit out of Condit so yeah there's that fight but not sure who else either, then MAYBE he has one more fight afterwards and gets thrown into the title picture if he's impressive. But Eh.

yaeh either way I'm not holding my breath. Cause fighting Condit isn't gonna be an easy task for him.

Yeah i mean, i don't wanna take anything away from him but IF he never landed that hit on Fitch you have to wonder if he would've even won, likely hood is Fitch would've wrestled him and worked on the ground and got the win that way.

So i say test him, throw him into the octagon with Condit, see what he can do.

He'll get K'Od :p just not in 12 seconds but Condit wil look to take him out after losing to Diaz. But I'm not going to completely count out Condit in the Diaz fight though. Just seems highly unlikely that Condit will be able to overcome Diaz

And yeah, if Nick fights as good as Nate did last weekend, then the likely hood is even greater that Condit will lose.

Then the question will be... what will GSP do against Diaz?

yeah. If Diaz dominates Condit... it really won't be that clear cut of a winner cause Diaz got some real good hands... better than Nate's

Give him the Sanchez/Ellenberger winner.

Interested to see where Fitch goes from here too tbh, Dana already hated him so god knows how many fights hes gonna have to win to get a shot at GSP again now.

Fitch is gonna have to completely turn his game around if he wants to get back in the good graces. Like instead of lay and pray and wrestle grinding he is going to have to do some crazy good finishes.

Good to see Hendricks rewarded for such a great display. He grasped the opportunity presented to him and elevated himself ahead of quite a few others in the division. I like the idea of him facing the winner of Sanchez/Ellenberger and then if he wins that he can face someone like Condit.
