Following the explosive UFC 175 Pay Per View last Saturday was the finale of The Ultimate Fighter Season 19, which Dana White has gone on record to call the 'worst season ever of the Ultimate Fighter'. But that didn't stop him from answering questions in the post fight press conference.

The event saw Edgar soundly defeat BJ Penn and for the first time out of the three times they fought earned himself a finish. More then likely this was the last time we'd see "The Prodigy" inside the octagon and the brash UFC boss has to agree at this point.

Dana White said:
I didn’t want to see him fight (Sunday), but he wanted it, and I respect him. He’s got it all, he’s one of two guys who have two belts in two weight classes. He’s fought in all the big fights, he’s made a lot of MONEY, he’s got a beautiful wife and family. He’s got his own gym, what more do you want?

Following his loss Penn announced his retirement from the sport, and hinted that Dana White was right for him to stay on the sidelines. However, the boss says whatever Penn feels is right is what he should ultimately do.

Dana White said:
I don’t think he wants to say the R word. A lot of them don’t. I’ll sit down with his family and we’ll talk. BJ Penn is going to always have a home in the UFC. He’s our partner in the UFC gym and we’ll do things together in the future.

Penn hasn't won since UFC 123 in November 2010 where he knocked out UFC Hall of Famer Matt Hughes and is 0-3-1 in his last four fights. He fought Jon Fitch to a draw in February 2011 but came up short in a fight of the night effort to Nick Diaz. Almost 14 months later Penn was dominated by Rory MacDonald before dropping two weight classes for a third and final Edgar fight which he lost last Sunday.

Yeah, BJ needs to retire. He's got nothing left to prove in the octagon.
