Dan Hardy's decision to bypass heart surgery to help with his battle vs. Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome could end his MMA career. However, "The Outlaw" still wants to compete, as long as the UFC is willing to allow it.
"I know I'm approaching the end of my career," said Hardy, in an interview with MMAjunkie.com. "I've got to weigh whether it's worth me taking the risk and getting the surgery to have a couple more fights."
Hardy was expected to compete this month, but doctors found the heart issue while he was completing a series of tests. The Brit is vulnerable to sudden cardiac arrest due to the syndrome.
"They're options for the UFC and whether they want to take a risk and whether, in fact, they see me as a risk," Hardy stated. "Everyone's seen my fights. I never make an easy night of it."
