A welterweight bout between "The Ultimate Fighter" alumni DaMarques Johnson (12-9 MMA, 3-3 UFC) and Clay Harvison (9-3 MMA, 1-0 UFC) will be part of September's UFC Fight Night 25 event.
Officials today announced verbal agreements are in place for the fight.
Johnson has has had an up-and-down campaign in the UFC. He lost the TUF 9 contract to James Wilks at the finale, then picked up two bonuses with two wins in a row over Edgar Garcia and Brad Blackburn. He has gone just 1-2 since then though, most recently being submitted by Amir Sadollah at UFC Fight Night 24 in March. Harvison was eliminated in the quarter-finals of TUF 13 by Ramsey Nijem, but won his official UFC debut over Justin Edwards by split-decision at the TUF 13 Finale.Officials today announced verbal agreements are in place for the fight.
