[Daichi Hashimoto News] Daichi officially announced that he signed an affiliation agreement with IGF as of June 1st. He will then be making his debut in the promotion on July 13 in Fukuoka.
Daichi Hashimoto stated that his father used to look up to Antonio Inoki and that he felt that even though he stated that he wants to create a different path from his father he remembers his day always saying “shoot true”. IGF is very well similar to the “true shoot style” and he wants to give a shot at to what his father was trying to accomplish.
Daichi stated that he has been able to maintain some of his size during this last injury, he suffered a broken jaw and the hands of Genichiro Tenryu on 3/30, and that he aims to jump back to roughly 94kg in the near future. Daichi stated that he wants to face everyone that IGF has to offer and even mentioned Naoya Ogawa whom his father has a strong past against.
Daichi said that he is ready for the “anything goes” style of matches in IGF and stated that this might be the best chance for him to truly showcase his true kickboxing talents. He stated that he is aware that he will only be in a few matches a year in IGF, but that his affiliation with IGF will indeed leave the door open for him to compete in other organizations if he so wishes.
