CZW 3.14.11: Saturday Results; Best of The Best; Japan Tour Still On

“STATUS UPDATE: FANTASTIC!†RESULTS FROM MARCH 12
* In the 1PW Showcase Match, one-half of the 1PW Tag Team champions,
Kid Fite, defeated his former student
“Unstoppable†Andy Wild in both men’s American debut. CZW takes over 1PW on September 23, 2011 at Electricity Sports & Social Club in Capenhurst, Ellesmere Port, England! Visit
CZWrestling.com or
OneProWrestling.com for all the latest.
*
Drew Gulak, after informing the crowd his status update was “WINNING!â€, was cleared out of the ring by former CZW World Heavyweight champion
Jon Moxley. Mox stated he was interjecting himself into the World Title Match between champion “The EGO†Robert Anthony and “Prince of Philadelphia†Devon Moore…as special guest referee.
* In a high flying match up that started before either men could even get to the ring saw
tHURTeen pull out a victory over CZW favorite
Ruckus…with the help of a low blow.
* When
Maven Bentley said
Ty Hagen could enter Best of The Best…if he could take it away from someone, some questioned why he would target
Akuma for the spot. However, Hagen hit the ring with a new level of aggressive and went blow for blow with Akuma. But due to some distraction by CZW Junior Heavyweight champion Adam Cole’s valet Mia Yim and a driver off the top that resulted in a concussion for Hagen, Akuma pulled out the victory to retain his BOTB spot.
* Australia’s
Ryan Eagles came to the ring issuing an open challenge saying, “Just like Charlie Sheen, I am all about winning!†With that CZW Tag champion
Mark Briscoe hit the ring. This match was aggressive throughout, until former Tag champion BLK JEEZ assaulted Mark Briscoe. The match now called a no contest, Jay Briscoe then hit the ring.
*
Jay Briscoe and BLK JEEZ, as you would expect, destroyed each other. But it was the deceptive mind of BLK JEEZ, using the threat of hitting Jay with the Tag Title Belt to distract the referee, BLK JEEZ then pulled something out of his tights to K.O. Jay Briscoe for the victory.
* In the Best of The Best qualifier,
Ryan McBride, A.R. Fox, and Alex Colon pulled out all the stops in action that the ring couldn’t contain with amazing high flying and aggressive action you would expect to see from anyone attempting to enter BOTB! At the end, it was A.R. Fox celebrating as he advance to The Best of The Best on April 9.
*
Greg Excellent’s dark path took an odd turn during the Ultraviolent Rules Match with CZW owner
DJ Hyde…as he refused to fight back against the boss. Two glass panes and an assortment of weapons wouldn’t give Excellent cause to fight back or to stop running his mouth to insult DJ Hyde. But it was Kylie Pierce who had seen enough and literally threw herself on Excellent to stop further punishment. Hyde in frustration and confusion walked to the back and with Excellent’s now inability to respond the match was declared a No Contest.
* The tension of the six-man match between
Masada, â€Golden Boy†Drake Younger, & CZW Wired TV champion Drew Gulak w/ “Full Price†Dewey Donovan vs. Scotty Vortekz, Danny Havok, & “Notorious 187†Homicide nearly took the roof off the building. It was Homicide laying out Gulak with the cop killer for the 1-2-3!
* For the CZW World Heavyweight Title Match, champion
“The EGO†Robert Anthony came just inches away from guest referee
Jon Moxley giving a pin fall victory to
Devon Moore. But Moxley, feigning an arm injury attacked Moore! Ego then went for the cover with his new friend Moxley counting the quickest three-count in history.
After the match, Mox and Anthony attempted to put away Moore for good, but were stopped by Jay and Mark Briscoe, until BLK JEEZ entered the fray with a chair. Jay and Mark were able to fight off the horde and issued a challenge...JAY and MARK BRISCOE, along with DEVON MOORE...to fight "THE EGO" ROBERT ANTHONY, BLK JEEZ, and JOKER...The Tag Titles...The Heavyweight Title...ALL ON THE LINE NEXT MONTH AT BEST OF THE BEST ON APRIL 9!!
