Gimmick and Background: Cyrus is a seasoned, battle-hardened veteran of the canvas wars, and a damn good one at that. For many years, he traveled the independent circuit of professional wrestling amassing championship after championship before arriving at the Clique Wrestling Alliance.
Relishing the challenge that a major promotion like CWA offered, Cyrus clawed and scraped against legends, company collapses, and interoffice machinations to rise up and claim the CWA World Heavyweight Championship, rising to the upper echelon of CWA's finest. He has held that championship twice and holds the record for most overall days as CWA World Champion as well as longest individual reign, while putting on classic matches against such talent as Krash, The Ultimate Pain, Chubby Carlos, and Jonathan McGinnis.
In time, Cyrus found his way to FWA...and in a short period of time, established himself among the upper echelon of FWA legends, racking up four separate reigns as FWA World Champion.
Cyrus's outlook in wrestling and in life in general stems from a paradigm Cyrus calls "The Long and Winding Road," a mindset that sees life as a never-ending series of twists and turns, and its "travelers" should seek to overcome challenges head-on and acquire glory and greatness through sacrifice. Cyrus is a deeply philosophical wrestler, always seeking to root out truth from beyond the veil of deceit and what he sees as the delusions of many of his peers in professional wrestling.
This outlook is due to his former association with a secret order of knowledge keepers known as the Observers. The Order of Observers have existed for millennia, acquiring knowledge and pursuing the ever elusive Truth, from which Cyrus took his true name. But a disagreement led to his Exile, and led to the wrestling ring.
