Critters Attack!

Why does everything awesome from the
80's have to be dug up like a rotten corpse
& paraded around dropping dirt & dried
skin on everyone & everything?

I absolutely adore the first 2 Critters films...
but this looks awful!

Well...at least they didn't use an old rap
song from the 90's in the trailer.

Tbh I have never even heard of this franchise until now but do all of them look like made for tv movies like this one?

I never heard of it which is fine for people like me.
Everyone else that remembers the classics... things like this kind of ruin it for them.

The original & its first sequel are classic "Creature Features"
in my opinion...and they actually had a budget with solid
practical effects.

The original puppets are fantastic & have a great design...
like carnivorous hedgehogs from hell.

The Critters (or Krites as they are known in universe) have
a lot of personality & are even funny in certain scenes...but
are incredibly violent & will eat anything living down to the
bones.

They were originally seen as a "Gremlins Knockoff" back
in the day...but they have their own certain charm making
them an "equal" in my book.

I highly recommend the first 2 films...if you can handle the
somewhat dated effects you should enjoy them.

I also want to highlight this fan film which is actually the
best "thing" to bare the Critters name since the second film.
