Creative Team Stressed Going Into RAW

WWE is currently hiring for a new lead creative writer. This person would be responsible for building TV scripts and developing long-term storylines as well as character back stories for new talents.

WWE is requiring that this person have experience in either reality TV, sitcoms or character-based nonfiction.
On a related note, apparently the WWE writing team is under major stress right now because of the feeling that there’s a good chance this week’s RAW rating won’t be good. Things didn’t get any better when they realized they were going up against game 7 of the NBA Eastern Conference Finals tonight.

Why not follow TNA's lead from 2010?
"Oh, all the wrestling fans are watching Raw (the NBA Finals) anyway, why not throw a whole bunch of shit against the wall and screw around for 2 hours?"

But seriously, would think "Oh, so we have an excuse for low ratings" should make the creative team more relieved than stressed with how ratings have gone lately

They should start hiring outside of that market and go for someone who has more experience with wrestling knowledge not TV knowledge. Live TV is a whole different ballgame than what the people in the market they're going for works with.

Get a couple of wrestling bookers with wrestling experience, combine that with live TV writers to help combine wrestling angles with TV. It works for NXT.

Also. Separate writing teams for RAW and Smackdown. That should ease the pressure and thus make it more manageable.
