Ok, now they might sound stupid, but I have been wondering them for some time and I was hoping you had the answer.

1. When someone is champion, are they allowed to take the championship home? Are they allowed to take the actual championship with them, or does management give it and take it to the champs when they arrive and leave the arenas? And if they do take the titles with them, are they held responsable in case of robbery?

2. I know matches are predetermined, but how much of the match is actually booked and planned? I know the finish is, but do writters and bookers actually tell the wrestlers what they have to do, move by move, or do they just highlight some spots and then tell them the determined ending?

I think I can answer # 1 for you. Once a wrestler wins a title, they usually get a replica of the belt to my knowledge. So they get to keep that for the rest of their lives, but I wouldn't think they would get to take the actual belt home with them. I don't really know for sure, other than they get a replica of each title they win.

Just to make #1 a little clearer, I mean if champions, while being champions, can take their titles home?

And thanks Peepshow

I think they give to management especially when they go on flights. But as Peepshow said they get a replica belt during and after their title reign that they keep at home. Also when someone said that Orton was holding Triple H's title belt they probably hadn't had the nameplate changed. They keep the original belt for stuff like that and when the title changes they just give them the replica and change the nameplate on the original

The other one I would like to find out though

ya i remember reading that the champion is responsible for taking their championship with them in their luggage and stuff..

and for #2 i think they just give them a basic outline (lengh of the match, big spots, if someone is dominating, and the ending) then all the wrestlers work in their signature moves and stuff... im guessing the people wrestling talk before the match about some other basic stuff...

The answer is same on each answer its case by case.

1. Flair actually owned the Belt before being fired by WCW the 1st time, and brought it too WWF on his first run. Brett would keep it, and HHH does too. It depends on the person really. THat RAW belts street value's over $100,000 arguably.

2. It depends on the workers. Way back when Steamboat/Savage had their classic match. Ricky and Randy (that sounds funny) mapped out their match 3 months ahead of time, and broke each move down to a number. They both were great workers, more consistent goes to Steamboat in ringwork, and would practice by quizzing each other on the series of moves and order of them.

If you have a veteran and a new guy the veteran will call the match move by move in the ring, but incluude the high spots that front office wants in i.e. the booker. Hardly ever has a booker given two wrestlers a match to do and told them move by move what to do. Warrior/Hogan at Wrestlemania is only match comes to mind. The bulk of moves done are determined in the ring. Thats why when you get two new guys workin its usually slow. Back in the day the wrestlers had a carny like talk where they could openly talk to each other while working. Crowd didnt know what they were saying.

#2 also if it ends up as a DQ (whether used a weapon, low blows or interference) that should be followed to support the storyline.

Impromptu matches are usually planned :shifty:

lol but seriously, a lot of wrestling is improvised. Big spots are planned ahead of time, but for the most part its improve.
