Former ECW Champion Steve Corino is backstage at RAW and is expected to get a tryout tonight prior to RAW against DH Smith. He may work under a mask. I'm also told he may be getting offered a tryout as an agent/producer as well.

Corino had a meeting recently in Stamford, CT. about the possibility of working full-time for WWE. We'll see how it goes tonight but it appears he is looking for work.

thanks: wrestlezone.com

Steve Corino is probably the biggest name Indy wrestler to make it big in this era. i won't mind to see him in WWE.. he accomplish pretty much every thing in the Indy/Japan scene.....

I really like Corino and would like to see him do well in the E. Problem is, I don't see them letting him do much if they sign him. Maybe I'll be wrong, but I'll tell you this, if he ends up on ECW, and they call up Cabana I would seriously consider starting to watch wwe again (even if that one brand).

I don't know man, Corino is awesome, he's an old Friend of the Matt Hardy so he's always had that in. Keep in mind though Corino is the agent for many Japanese wrestlers. He has worked with WWE before when the WWE was trying to get Masta Tanaka in for the One Night Stand PPV's, using Corino as a go between. Corino has always made it clear in his blogs that he loves helping the WWE out with stuff like that, but ultimately he wants no part of being in the WWE as an on air talent. I'd be shocked if this was to happen. I know they say, never say never, but this is a long shot in all possible ways.

I should note something.... He's looking for work as an agent, not as a wrestler, so it wouldn't surprise me to see WWE pick him up.
