Given that this story hasnt ended yet, i figured it may be worth making a thread about, so lets get started.

It began yesterday, the day of Survivor Series, where Corey Graves put out this tweet below.

Mauro Ranallo has had a history of Mental health issues, its happened in the past and recently has sprung up again, after corey released this tweet, Mauro Ranallo deleted his twitter account and was not at Survivor Series. Michael Cole said on commentary that Mauro was so passionate he blew his voice out but would be back on Wednesday, but obviously that doesnt seem to be the case, atleast the whole blowing out his voice thing.

Ironicly it was months ago where Corey Graves would make a tweet that he has seemingly forgotten about.

And ofcourse there is what he said about the Saudi incident

"All these conspiracy theories that have been drawn up...and half of it comes from some of the boys that were on the plane. If you are that insecure and you feel so strongly that you’re gonna get on Twitter and complain that our flight got screwed up, what’s Twitter gonna do? All it is is fuel for these ‘journalists,’ and then everyone puts their two cents in and starts coming up with their conspiracy theories. If you’re mad that your flight got delayed and you weren’t one of the Saudi 20, that’s on you. Quit crying about it on Twitter. You know who wasn’t complaining? Randy Freakin’ Orton. If anyone has the cache and the right to speak his mind, it would be Randy Orton. He got it. It was about doing the damn show.”

After his tweet about Ranallo he would keep on going, seemingly not backing down from his statement.

And ofcourse it didnt end there, he then, just like Seth Rollins before him, randomly decided to take a shot at Dave Meltzer.

And ofcourse, both Bryan Alvarez and Dave Meltzer had a response.

As always i will keep you guys updated as this situation develops.

Bryan Alvarez said it best, "Corey is either a prick, or an idiot". Given that two hours before the initial tweet, he went on a rant about badmouthing people online being cowardly, I want to go with idiot, but considering how much he's playing the victim with Meltzer, I have to go with prick

Still not seeing what Graves is getting all the heat for. I've been saying the same thing as him for a while now, I've yet to see anyone get upset when I say it. Mauro can, at times, be the best voice in the business, but there is also a ton of times where he either doesn't let his partners talk, or worse, cuts them off in the middle of what they're saying. I feel like Corey's comment was justified, and he didn't "attack" Mauro, nor did he at all mention or even insinuate that it had anything to do with a mental condition, because if he did I sure as fuck wouldn't be defending him here.

I'm also not one of the people who thinks Mauro is overreacting or needs to get thicker skin, as I've seen a few other places. Mauro is also completely in the right for feeling how he does, and I absolutely feel for him in this situation. Depression fucking sucks, period. Mental health issues fucking suck, period. There's little to no controlling that, and major props to him for overcoming all that he has to accomplish all the things that he's done. I have no doubt that he will get over this hurdle as well, and will be back to lighting the headset en fuego soon enough, hopefully tomorrow night.

Right now, I feel like the whole situation is being blown out of proportion by many, many fans who take the word of Alvarez and Meltzer as gospel (admittedly, Corey isn't helping matters much at the moment either, but I don't think he's needlessly stirred the pot nearly to the extent that those two have). People talk shit about the cult of Cornette, but the hardcore WON followers are nearly just as bad (except generally not racists). Similar thing happened earlier this year with Michael Cole and Pat McAfee, and Pat even pretty much said it was blown up by everyone else and it was fine once they talked. Let's give them (Corey and Mauro) that same time to talk. Maybe they already have, who knows? Time will tell. Tomorrow, Mauro should be on NXT, and Graves will post his podcast, and perhaps after tomorrow, we'll get some missing parts of this story. Maybe I'm totally wrong about the situation, and if that's the case, I have no problem admitting I was wrong. But with the current info we have, that's my take on things at this moment.

You are a nobody on a wrestling forum that hardly anyone knows exists while Graves is well known and a co-worker of Mauro. There is bit of a difference.

Graves does the same thing and it is just annoying.

Theres a difference in the sense of who sees the message, but there's little difference in the message itself. If it's such a controversial statement to make, then I feel like at least someone on here wouldve told me to shut up.

And I also feel it's much different when Graves does it, because he usually does it as a part of the conversation and cuts them off to disagree with their point, but still engaging them in the conversation. When Mauro does it, it's usually out of nowhere and has nothing to do with what his partners are talking about. Beth can be in the middle of telling a story that relates to the match and attempts to put over its significance, and Mauro will cut her off midsentence with "Mamma Mia what a snapmare". Sometimes it feels like Nigel and Beth are the actual commentators and Mauro is doing a YouTube react video to the match without lowering the video volume.
