I mean.. kinda? Obviously the whole Conor/Floyd stuff, for example, was no different from a wrestling angle and Conor did a good job with that. They literally went on tour just to have them talk shit to each other and they still sold out arenas. What John is disregarding right now is that in the E, there's way more to it that just talking shit to sell a fight. At a UFC conference you don't have someone like Dana in your ear telling you what to say and what not to say, so these guys can basically just do whatever the fuck they want to sell this damn thing. In the E you have to follow certain patterns, characters, storylines and even though I don't think those would really apply to someone like Conor when he comes over, it's not gonna be as off the cuff as it usually is. Besides, selling a real fight is not really comparable to selling a staged one just as far as content and ambitions go, so like you said, it's like apples and oranges. Would still love to see him come over to the E one day, even though they'd probably have to pay him double of what they paid Brock lol
