MICHAEL W. KRUEL (Champ) VS. CODY RHODES

A lock-up saw a break and another found Kruel in a headlock and quickly dropped to the canvas with a shoulderblock from Cody! A surprised Kruel jumped back in for a little back-and-forth with Cody, but soon found himself trying to maneuver out of a series of headlocks and tosses from Rhodes. A break that allowed Kruel to whip Cody to the ropes merely allowed Cody to dropkick Kruel in the face and capture a two-count on the “great American hero.â€
Kruel finally got in a move by guillotining Cody on the top-ropes and taking down the choking Rhodes for a near-pin. With Cody still trying to catch his breath, Kruel stomped and elbowed Cody a number of times along with a neckbreaker to keep him off-balance. Eventually, Kruel locked in a sleeper and Cody looked to be gone as Ramsey lifted his arms up once, twice, but not a third time!
Cody slammed Kruel's head into a turnbuckle, only to get a stiff clothesline when running at Kruel a second later! A pin-attempt had Kruel hitting a belly-to-belly on Cody and looked to be ready for the Kruel Intentions – just as Cody rallied and hit a massive DDT on Kruel to send the “great America dud†into la-la-land and Cody got the pin for the win!
Of course, any win against a member of Team America is a loss for ALL of Team America, and the others ran into the ring to express their anger by stomping and kicking Cody!
