Cody Rhodes: “I think Sami Zayn is a headliner”

Cody Rhodes is set to challenge Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at WWE WrestleMania 39.

Before he does, Reigns will defend the title against Sami Zayn this Saturday at Elimination Chamber. The company reportedly hasn’t considered putting Zayn in the main event of WrestleMania 39 by forcing it to be a triple threat match because they don’t see Zayn as a headliner.

This is something that Rhodes talked about while speaking with Sports Illustrated:

“I think Sami Zayn is a headliner. I think traditional constructs and all those things, noise and numbers, can never be denied in the sports entertainment space. Sami has just been off the charts."
