The coaches for The Ultimate Fighter: The Smashes were announced Wednesday night during the post-fight show for UFC on Fuel TV: Munoz vs. Weidman. The series will feature Australia vs. the United Kingdom. The coaches will be Ross Pearson for the Brits and George Sotiropoulos for Australia. UFC president Dana White named them and added that they will face off after coaching on the show.

TUF: The Smashes will begin filming this week in Australia. No television coverage has been named for the show here in the U.S.

Both Pearson and Sotiropoulos competed on TUF, with Pearson winning the show during his run. He will be moving back to lightweight for the future bout with Sotiropoulos.

Not really surprised by the choices, as they were the leading favorites to do the show from the beginning.

Yeah, very disappointing if not predictable. Thing is, nobody cares or knows who Ross Pearson is here in England, he's probably behind Bisping, Hardy and Hathaway in popularity.

Was hoping for Dan Hardy vs Brian Ebersole.
