It should be noted that according to a live report, the referee threw up the "X" sign multiple times for CM Punk during his main event match with Kane. A trainer was checking on Punk out of camera view at different times.

Source: WrestleView.

If this true, or anything serious, WWE may be out a big time main event. Hopefully this is a false report, or nothing serious.

Follow up from the same website doesn't legitimize the original site. I've seen nobody else report this I call it BS. the key line to let me believe that is "the referee threw up the "X" sign multiple times" Multiple times usually means get the fuck out here I see a bone. It's typically one decently long (until someone relays they've seen it) X if it's an injury

Again one website probably trying to gain readers.

He'll be fine and damn sure won't miss out on this huge event even if he was injured.

I'm not seeing this on any of the sites I usually go to either. If there's nothing else mentioned about this by tomorrow morning, it's likely BS. A story like this would have sites swarming over it.

I saw it on Pwinsider as well sent in by someone who attended the show.

pwinsider said:
It should be mentioned that about half way through the Punk/Kane match, Chioda threw the "X" sign to the trainer while checking on Punk, as he laid in the floor. The trainer ran over, out of camera view, and spoke to Punk. This happened about 3 times during the rest of the match, with Chioda subtly giving the "X" sign to the trainer at ringside each time. Before Punk stole the urn, he spent quite a bit of time with Chioda and the trainer directly in front of the announcer's table. It appears he was working with a legitimate injury.

It wouldn't surprise me if Punk is carrying some injury, he did only have surgery a couple of months back and could be feeling some pain from that. Plus didn't he get dropped on his head/neck the other week at a house show? Whatever it is there is no way that Punk will miss Mania, he will work through the injury.

I did hear Kane ask Punk during the match if he was ok, and Punk said he was. Meltzer & Alvarez haven't mentioned anything on the Wrestling Observer site either from what i've just seen looking at their site, and they didn't mention anything when they were reviewing Raw.

I just double checked and it was last weekend when Punk took that bad bump after a delayed vertical suplex from Miz. Might have still been carrying something from that or the fan that sent in the report might have been reading into the situation too much.

He landed a bit awkwardly with that DDT on the chair and seemed to genuinely be in pain, maybe he thought he was hurt more seriously than he was. He looked ok by the end.

If he was to miss 'Mania, I could see them going with Kane vs Undertaker as a tribute to Bearer. There wouldn't be any bad blood between them, and it would be face vs face.

Actually, ^ that would be kinda cool.

Honestly if bearer died a week earlier they probably would have went that way for mania concerning those two. It would be a big and good moment that would be remembered for ever in mania history
