C.M. Punk ripped into Hulk Hogan during an appearance on the B.J. Shea Morning Experience radio show on KISW-FM in Seattle on Thursday morning. Punk explains that everybody wins if WWE has legit competition – but he doesn't think that competition is TNA and Hulk Hogan.

“My take is first of all that we have Tribute to the Troops on Saturday” Punk said. “That’s probably going to be a much better show than whatever that TNA is going to put on. I have a lot of friends that work there and I do watch the show, but I seem to watch it on perpetual fast forward.

“I hope, I really hope that something comes of it. I have zero faith in Hulk Hogan as a man who is what 60 years-old and tries to dress like he’s 18 and lives on the Jersey Shore. For a guy I’ve never met, I’ve formulated enough opinions about him just from being around him and like his business acumen and stuff like that, I really trust that he’s not in this for TNA and he’s not in this for the business. He’s in this for himself.

“Hulk Hogan, I hope you prove me wrong. I hope there’s competition because when there’s competition we step up, everybody makes more money, and I think it makes the business healthier and that’s what I’m looking forward to, but I don’t have much hope.”

Damn Punk, way to bash the hell outta one of the best wrestlers of all time and an up-n-coming TNA! He sees the fact that Hogan is trying to "save TNA" but he believes Hogan brings no hope and will fail. Whats your guys reactions on Punk's bashing on Hogan/TNA?

He's right about everything but the Tribute To The Troops being any good.

This was bullshit, but the rest I agreed with.

I thought the troops show sucked, as usual, but then again I didn't see all of it cause I was watching Saints/Cowboys

Considering the fact that he went out on a limb to basically claim TNA SO bad as to their only show of the year that outdoors for that matter lol is better than any TNA show they put on makes me laugh... Punk really fucked up saying that shit

Punk was in TNA in 05? I thought it was earlier than that. Like 03 04.

I stop watching the tribute show. The faces usually always win with one or 2 heel wins. Santa Clause is usally some older guy and something happens between him and someone else.

Idk, I keep thinking him and Dinero were in 05. It was more than likely 03.

I think he got it pretty spot on IMO. I agree id love to see TNA give WWE a fight and some good competion. Because the WWE would have to up there game. But sadly i dont see that happening TBH. I dont think TNA/Hulk will be that much of a force to be reackoned with. Guess we shall find out on Jan 4th just how much competion TNA will be. OH yeah im sure ive just read the TNA might go head 2 head evety MON with Raw if things work out =0

Punk was in TNA like 2003 that's about the time I started watching. I think he only mentioned the Troops Special as a free plug and to show that WWE actually does something meaningful for the troops.

^^ Exactly. This report just got me on the Punk train. I'm loving this guy. Punk is going to be a huge role in WWE if he keeps bringing fourth competition like this. I've been craving some wrestling competition forever. Lets hope we get it.

Bottom line is face to face he would bitch out just like anyone else and hop on Hogans dick and praise how awesome he is and how much he looks up to him. If you think any different you're Blue.

CM Punk also shouldn't be bashing his escape plan with the way WWE has been booking him lately, just saying...

Forgive me for going off topic..but,

Why would Punk want to leave the WWE? He is in a great position right now and extremely valuable to the company.

Are you saying they might release him? Thats not gonna happen. He is one of a handful that are unreleasable at this point. Cena, Orton, DX, Jericho, Show, Edge, Batista, Taker, and Punk

Whats wrong with his booking? He has won three world titles in a little over a year. He may very well be the most unlikely WWE champ in history. His heel booking has been no different than Orton's has over the last 4 years. This is the way the WWE has decided to book heels, it doesn;t mean they are on their way out or the WWE doesn;t see anything in them.

Not saying that he may get released but I'm not sure how much longer Punk is going to be a priority for WWE. I think had they wanted him to be there would have been no need or reason to turn Batista heel and push him out of the main event.
I'm just saying... not good to shit on what could be an option down the road.
