Classic Forums From Back in the Day

I've been genuinely curious about this, as it's been years since I've been part of any forum online. Who here, if anyone, was on any of the classic forums back in the day when it was still a big deal? This is one of the few I've seen still around with the most users and honestly, I had no idea it was still a thing before I started looking for one.

I joined my first forum (Obsessed With Wrestling) back in 2007. Shortly after, I was on Online World of Wrestling before it merged with the other OWW. Online World of Wrestling took over and Obsessed still tried to keep the original forum going, but it died pretty quickly. Several users, including myself, made our own smaller forums, and it was honestly like one big family tree spreading branches. But man, what a fun time to be a wrestling fan. I was on several, but honestly I don't remember many of the names. OWW was my home. I eventually started doing OWW Radio with Nick Anthony (you can still find some of our interviews if you look hard enough) and that eventually morphed into other avenues as well.

Were you on any of the old forums back in the day?

The other main forum I was on when I was younger was OWMF until it was hacked in 2010. There was some overlap between OWMF and OWW but I forget who was part of both.

And like a lot of others here I was a regular on WrestlingClique before it closed in 2021.

Refresh my memory on OWMF? I'm not sure if I remember it or not, but I'm sure I will if there was overlap with OWW. Pretty sure I was on WrestlingClique too.

I started on ProWrestlingScoops in 2001
then was in a couple of smaller off shoot boards from that then joined Wrestling Clique had a falling out there and we started this here und the name Pulse then Wrestling Punks and now Wrestling Smarks

Also Wrestling Forum, probably the most generic name lol. They are a few here who were there also I believe.

OWMF started as WMF, which stood for Wrestling Media Forums based on it's original website wrestlingmedia.ru (original owner was a Russian prick named KNEO). KNEO randomly added the O which stood for Outstanding (starting to realize he may have actually been Putin) but then shut the forum down with a RETURNING IN 2006 thing (it never returned) and so someone brought back OWMF as a different forum. It briefly merged with another forum called I think TWA but then the 2 owners had a falling out and OWMF came back. The owner, whose name was Missionary Pyro or Mish, decided not to bring it back after it was hacked.

Are you talking popular wrestling forums that everyone knows, or just ones you spent the most time on before coming onto ones like these.

I choose to believe they named their forum after the greatest faction of all time. Backstreet Boys, NSYNC too, Brittany Spears is kinda cuteeee....

I was on a fairly large forum called SDGLive (SmackDown Games Live) that I found looking for CAWs back in the day. It died when I wasn't around but I ended up finding the scragglers at this place called PowerSlamForums (if you think you know it, it probably wasn't this one), which later rebranded to In the Ring Forums. It ended up being pretty much a wasteland and we closed up and moved over here in 2012. I'm the only one that stuck around

Before coming here and joining WC I was apart of a Wrestling Forum named Wrestling Legends Forums in the 2000s. The place for me to get all the Old School Content in Wrestling, Wrestling Caws for the Games, and we had a highly competitive Efed that I was apart of for a long time.
